You ( ) and TŌRU OIKAWA ( Haikyū!! ) quietly stood under your umbrella waiting for the bus. Tōru had probably glanced in your direction more than the amount of time you'd been waiting, desperately wanting yet absolutely terrified to initiate some sort of expression of his feelings. You never showed, under any circumstance, clear emotions: joy, anger, sadness, or fear ― it was the most minute form. Forget any response to Tōru's horrible attempts at chatting you up like he always faked with his fangirls. Sometimes, in his most negative headspace, he thought you might have no interest in anything or anyone, which shredded his heart into pieces. How else should he take what he's seen? That being nothing! You never showed him anything, not a smile or a blush. Hell, you rarely make eye contact with him!

And...if it shall be true...then Tōru has no choice but to try ― though he doubts he can succeed ― ridding this deep crush on you he's been keeping secret for almost a year. The immature expectation you will one day suddenly fall for him the same way he fell for you embarrasses him more than ever, not to mention his already depleting confidence at the idea you even platonically like him...

Once the bus's blinding headlights catch his peripheral, he takes a deep breath. His lip quivered, his hand ready to release the umbrella's handle at the understanding his feelings will forever remain one-sided. The tears, no matter how hard he tries, dramatically slip one by one down his cheeks. He shouldn't even get on the bus with you; he'll just make a run for it the moment you get on the bus to distance himself from you as much as he can. His fingers barely lift off the handle, still hesitant to separate from you, when a warm, (soft/firm) hand appears over them. Tōru's wide, glassy eyes stare at his hand before his tears pour harder than ever, his cheeks blossoming red.

He finally looks at you and sees you bashfully looking away.

You ( ) had just witnessed KYO SOHMA'S ( Fruits Basket ) true form which you knew he had been keeping from you in fear of how you'd react to learning his secret. He didn't even mean it to have happened, but before he could stop it, his bracelet was forcibly taken off by Kazuma and...you had seen hi. You, the love of Kyo's life, his one true light in this dark world. He tried so goddamn hard yet now all he can do is cry out his desperate please for you not to reject him as his father did, to please stay with him despite what horrible monster hides inside him. You, however, grabbed his hand and pulled him into a tight embrace. He struggles against it, shouting curses and insults at you only to immediately break down crying, tugging at your soiled shirt.

But no matter how hurtful he attempted to make his insults in order to drive you away before you got hurt, you stood your ground and waited for the perfect moment to show Kyo he deserves all the kindness and love from others, especially you. The silence only sends rapid panic through Kyo until your arms entirely wrap themselves around Kyo's bare body, your fingers, which cradle his head, comfortably stroking his hair.

"I love you. Kyo," you whisper into the side of his face you kissed shortly after. He holds onto you even tighter. All he ever wanted was for this, to be comforted in your arms where he felt the safest. "You've never scared me, and now isn't any different." He doesn't give an auditory reply. His fingernails practically tear through your shirt's fabric as he further buries his face into your neck.

AMANDA ( Dream Daddy ) lay in bed crying after a huge, dramatic mess involving all of her friends who simultaneously decided to drop her out of their friend group for no valid reason. They just...left her. Her father attempted to have Amanda talk everything out since he was completely unaware of why she's been so distant, but the sudden weight of loneliness that was once filled by people she once called her best friends made her feel like she couldn't rely on anyone. At least not right now. She told him she was fine with a false smile which her father took as a sign he should leave until she was ready to come to him. Amanda knew her father only had good intentions, it's just she could barely articulate the pain her heart was enduring. Emma P., Emma R., Noah ― everyone she thought loved her heartlessly left her behind. She's left asking herself what was so wrong with her that they decided they could no longer bear her existence, and she wondered if the last person she felt was still her true friend would soon leave her too.

You ( ) built a great relationship not just with Amanda, but her doting father as well. He acts protectively over his only child, but he found you to be a wonderful friend for Amanda alongside the Emmas when they all got along. You gave Amanda the confidence she could do anything she put her mind to against all odds telling her otherwise. For that, she cherished you with all her heart.

But will that eventually end? You were good friends with everyone else who enjoyed your company as much as Amanda does, so is that pre-telling you won't be on her side anymore? Do you think she's not pleasant? That she's uncool?

The self-deprecating questions played on repeat infinitely causing more tears to damp Amanda's pillow.
