Keefe's sense of direction was blurred by a potent mix of anxiety, desperation, and determination. He had no clear plan, no defined path; all he knew was that he needed to find Sophie, to ensure her safety and bring her back. "I have no idea what I'm doing, but it's going to be alright," he assured himself. His heart pounded with urgency, and every second felt like an eternity. As he embarked on his quest to save Lady Foster, Keefe's thoughts swirled, coaxed with uncertainty.

The realisation hit him like a truck, he needed Marella's help to reignite the fire portal thingy, as he put it. The gateway that could transport him to the dome of doom. With a swift but anxious motion, Keefe dug out his imparter from a deep pocket, a sense of urgency urging him to contact Marella. He mentally noted to remove his registry pendant, a simple precaution that he and his friends frequently use to keep their location hidden.

"Show me Marella Redek," Keefe requested, though he had to wait for a moment before Marella's bewildered visage appeared in the imparter's projection. She raised an eyebrow, her expression a mix of curiosity and concern. "Um, Keefe?" Marella questioned.

Keefe wasted no time in explaining the urgency of his request. "Marella! Hi, uh, listen, this is going to sound weird. But I need you to light the fire portal thing again, and please don't ask questions," he implored, fully aware that Marella was about to do just that.

Marella, surprisingly, didn't push for answers. Instead, she simply said, "OK."

"Thank you," Keefe replied, giving her a meeting point. "Meet me by Fintan's old house," he instructed as the imparter conversation ended.

Author's note: Hello! I hope you are enjoying the story so far. So before I get any comments about this, Yes I know Technically, the portal thingy, as Keefe put it, is in Elysian, and therefore Keefe and his friends shouldn't be able to open it anywhere else. And that the portal was like the illusions stripped down or something, but I forgot about all that here. Soooo.......

On With The Story!! <3

Keefe leaned against the aged bricks of Fintan's since abandoned residence, an eerie sense had settled over his old home. He felt a rush of relief when Marella arrived, her arrival calming some of his nerves. Marella needed no explanation as she began layering the flames, each one igniting with a vibrant colour.

As the last flame was set ablaze, the portal burst open, revealing a neon gateway pulsing with all the colours of the rainbow. "Thank you, Marella, You have been a real lifesaver," Keefe told her, but as she blushed and said it was fine, he could still feel her reluctance wafting through the air. She suddenly spoke up, voicing his theory. "Just so you know, I'm pretty sure I know what you're doing," she began, but when Keefe tried to argue or explain, Marella continued, "I'm not going to try and stop you. And I'm not going in there again."

"Thank you," Keefe replied again, feeling understanding as he made his way towards the mesmerising portal, his mind filled with memories of the last time he entered the portal. The sense of nostalgia hit him hard, remembering what had awaited them on the other side the last time they had entered. But he had to job to do, and he intended on doing it, he slowly entered the portal.

Now, the illusions were peeled away, revealing the heart of Elysian in all its awe inspiring enormity and beauty. The imposing glass dome that had held Keefe and his friends captive came into view, and Keefe couldn't help but shudder as painful memories surged to the surface of his mind. Yet, he couldn't afford to be paralyzed by those memories, he had to push forward.

Keefe's determination slightly wavering, he quickly identified the Sophie-shaped hole in the colourful glass. He scaled the dome easily and gazed out through the hole, a sense of dread washed over him. He had known Elysian was vast, but this vast?!. The enormity of the task ahead loomed, daunting and uncertain. How would he ever find Foster in this maze like jungle?

A stubborn tear slipped down his cheek, reflecting his fear. He couldn't even think of a world without Team Foster Keefe, a world where their adventures and teasing came to an end. But Keefe wasn't ready to accept defeat. This wasn't the end, oh no it was only the beginning.
