Life.
A work of wonders
A breath of colors
A sight of morning coffee,
With a dash of cinnamon on top,
A sound, of soft and warm,
Like morning sheets.
Life.
On our shoulders we seek,
Vanity.
Wealth.
Lust.
And yet, when our lives
Are burdened by hurdles,
Our mind wavers.
Shuffling our feet,
We bend the knee,
At the drop of a hat,
To danger.
To sickness.
To pain.
Then and there,
Our mind shifts.
All earthly possessions,
All material wants,
All matters of the skin,
Turn to ash before our very eyes.
Life.
All we see, is blank.
The mind incessantly dabbles,
In a sea of nothingness.
But you know?
It is all truly circumstantial.
We take our daily rituals,
For granted.
Something truly not long,
For this world,
We ignorantly believe,
Belongs to us and us alone.
We believe every so hours,
We will open our eyes.
A brand-new day to witness,
A kind smile from the sun,
A nice kiss from the moon.
Not yours,
Not mine.
Life.
Unbeknownst to us,
Everything withers.
Leaf's fall
Every evening,
Without witnesses in sight.
As the leaf's slowly fall,
Coming into contact with the skin of the earth,
Our ignorance still prevails.
Please.
Value your health,
Love those around you,
Enjoy time with those you admire and cherish.
Live...
The times of sickness
Of weakness
Will come,
So live.
Live... Life.

PoetryThe purpose of this poetry book is one of defiance. Not to others, or anything in particular. It is against the war we wage internally, against ourselves every day. There is no bigger challenge in life than facing your thoughts, your true emotions...
