After Nora had escaped her clutches in the last chapter, technically through Pink Diamond and Pearl coming to her aid at the very last minute, Midnight came to another plan to do away with Nora Universe for good, by hiring bounty hunters. Five figures stood in the dark before Midnight, Onyx, and Black Star Diopside.
Midnight: I am glad you all agreed to come, I've called you here because you are the best bounty hunters in your provinces and today, you will prove it. You will be hunting a very unique kind of prize, Nora Universe, but this will not be an easy task as she has proven to be formidable against the likes of me. I hope you all know what you'll be up against.
Meanwhile, Nora was with the Crystal Gems right now and they had a very important mission ahead of them today as it was the Grand Meeting of Realm Leaders, where basically Kings, Queens, Princess', Princes, mayors, presidents, emperors, empresses, sovereigns and other leader types from all across the realm join together to discuss important stuff, try a few foods if possible, and catch up with old friends for those that are familiar with each other. The Crystal Gems were asked to watch over the event and ensure that nothing goes wrong.
Nora: So, what exactly is this again?
Pink Diamond: It's basically a summit for world Leaders from their kingdoms and provinces to come together and discuss matters of interest and me White, Yellow, and Blue Diamond are a part of it.
Nora: Discuss things? Like what?
Pink Diamond: Typical official stuff usually, it's basically meetings and decrees and meetings about decrees and decrees about the meetings. It gets pretty boring after a while. Although, this time may be about the Black Diamond situation, so there's that.
Nora: Oh, so why are me and the others here at all if it's really just you guys?
Pink Diamond: Some of the people that come to the summit can be a little excitable sometimes, which can spiral from getting off topic into arguments and such, if anything shows up to create any chaos at all, then who knows what could happen at the summit. We just like things to be nice and calm until the visit ends, okay?
Nora: Oh, I see. But who would come and bother us at this time of all times anyway?
Pink Diamond: I don't know, but ever since our recent run in with Midnight, I would like us to be a little more careful out there.
Nora: Don't worry, Pink, now that we've got a handle on who we're dealing with and they've seen what we're capable of, I doubt they'll be within miles of us for a good long while, not unless they hired bounty hunters like in the movies or whatever, but what are the odd of that ever happening?
Unfortunately for Nora, that was just the case right now as Midnight just finished briefing the bounty hunters in on their target. Right now, they were watching Nora and Pink Diamond's conversation through Midnight's black orb.
