Liam and Louis had told me once before that Everett and Alexander had some places they kept secret, even from them, mini warehouses that were based out of houses, or drug dens where they hid some extra weapons and such. Today we must be going to one of those places.

Avery turned down the music, which surprisingly was a mixture of pop, rock, and oldies all alternating randomly. "I didn't know where to go, but lucky for you some..." she glances at me, her dark eyes hidden behind darker shadow and liner before turning her attention back to the road, "friends of mine like to stalk pretty things."

I recoil slightly and shudder, because I know exactly what she means. Mick and Shark, her cronies. I can't say I harbor the best of feelings for the duo, since the last time I had been in their presence I was left scarred, beaten, bruised, and mentally broken. I guess Mick and Shark thought they were doing something right to 'avenge their bad ass boss', but the problem is, their boss was waiting to slide in and seem like the savior all along. It makes me so wary of Avery, because most interactions with her are a game, but I seem to never get the rules until after we are done playing. She gives me a feeling of safety, but then seconds later reminds me she is a viper hidden beneath sheep's clothing.

"And this pretty thing.... Is my boyfriend?" I huff out already aware of the answer.

"No silly." Avery grins. "Niall, Harry, Liam, and Louis are all pretty actually, not just Harry!" She laughs at her own joke, before going back to singing a line of the song.

Thanks, thank you for that Avery. I guess Mick and Shark must have been tailing the guys for... who knows how long. That's the only way we knew where this location was. Even though I want to be angry, I know it is a little helpful. It's still something I would refuse to ever thank them for.

"Speaking of, I must ask the obvious question that the readers are dying to know." Avery was theatrical, not only in her motions but in the way she spoke.

I stretch out my legs for a moment in the open space under the glove compartment. Even though we had only been in the car for about forty minutes, I was exhausted of the drive. "The readers?" I can't hide my confusion.

Avery twirls a loose hair near her ear with crimson nails, "I have to call our doting audience something. Because one day when we tell this story they will all be hanging on word for word."

She's so dramatic.

"What's the question?" I was picking at my own nails now, the sparkle polish of pink and gold was flaked on every nail and begging to be redone, the last time I did them as a girls day with Autumn. That's another thing I hope to experience someday.

Please do not let me die today.

"Why Harry? I mean, the obvious choice was very much Niall. Niall was sweet on you, kind, and actually did all the things correctly. Harry however was pretty much a complete asshole. Is it that you have a degradation kink?" I gasp aloud, "Or what was it? Because to me, the choice seemed simple but you made the wrong one."

Of everything Avery could ask me, this was not what I suspected. How she knew so much about Harry and I was almost odd, it felt like Avery was always here, right around the corner watching and waiting to know everything. How she did it, it was a mystery to me. What was the secret of her having eyes and ears inside the frat house? Did she once have Mick and Shark do surveillance just like Niall and Liam did?

"I guess, I felt something with Harry that I didn't feel with Niall. I can be honest and tell you I thought Niall was cute, and instantly when he asked me out the first time I thought I was lucky somehow, a hot guy was noticing me, but then when it came to the end, it just wasn't there. That.... Spark or whatever. But with Harry... it was like I was engulfed in flames. He made me feel everything. From good to bad, and it made me realize how much I was hiding from my own emotions and life after what happened in my past." I clasp my hands together to put in my lap while waiting for her reply.
