RILEY ANDERSON

Riley Elizabeth Anderson. She was beautiful, smart, funny, and kind. Whenever Riley walked into a room you could easily find her by her golden hair and sunkissed skin. Riley was good at a lot of things thanks to her eclectic lifestyle of constantly wanting to try new things. Riley and her father spent many summers growing up learning new trades such as fishing, vehicle maintenance, how to hang drywall, and even welding. Riley spent time with her mother doing the usual cooking and sewing, but also singing, dancing, and watching bad reality tv shows. One thing neither of her parents ever prepared her for was that at the ripe age of eighteen years old she would be riding shotgun in a sports car with a cartel leader on the way to rescue her drug dealing and murderous boyfriend, who also was part of a cartel. Not even the same cartel. Because apparently cartels are that common.

Avery does not notice the fourth speed limit sign that we have passed, I advise her that the actual legal limit is 65, despite her consistency of going 80. "You do know, it's illegal to go over the speed limit right?" I added. She shoots me a mischievous grin and I hear the car accelerate slightly more, lurching us closer to 85. Great.

You'd think, hey Riley, you are used to illegal stuff by now right? No. No I am not.

It isn't even just the idea of 'hey we could get pulled over for going too high over the speed limit', which is actually considered reckless driving at this point... but what happens when we do get pulled over? They notice the duffle bags loosely piled in the backseat with multiple weapons. What ID does Avery carry on her, Alice? Is Alice a missing person maybe, she ran away so young? I have so many questions.

When I told Avery I wanted to get Harry back tomorrow, that it was necessary actually, she told me we would pack up and leave at dawn. I didn't think Autumn would feel safe with me crawling into Avery's overly expensive and clearly drug money purchased vehicle so we met up and I had to drag myself through a drive-thru for coffee before hitting the spot. I said goodbye to my car and prayed that I will see if again when all of this was over.

I showed up in what I thought would be my best option for clothes, but I was basing this off what movies tell me would look cool for a 'rescue mission'. I channeled my inner Dauntless member and wore black leggings with pleather stripes down the side (they seemed like the coolest thing I could find and what is a good mission without a kickass outfit?), a black muscle tank that showed off the gunmetal gray sports bra underneath, along with borrowing Autumn's zip up leather jacket that was slightly cropped. I could tell I missed Harry because while tying up the laces of my black combat doc marten boots I compared them to something that he would wear.

Avery complimented me the moment she saw me, and I realized great minds think alike. Avery had on a black bodysuit that seemed to be tucked into her black joggers, along with all black converse, and a black zip up that she left open. Her long hair was tied into a braid today, covered up partially with a black beanie.

Next to one another we screamed some sort of angsty vibes for sure.

Avery had the vehicle loaded up and we were ready to go. "Remind me again how you know where to go?" I ask her as we blaze down the highway, the rain was pouring outside. I expected by nine am for the sun to be out, but today the weather had different plans. The skies were dark and gray, with mostly clouded coverage, the sun had hidden away beneath them.

I remembered the day I met Alexander and Everett, the car ride there was filled with an angry Harry, a rational Niall, and myself in a fit of emotions. I try to replay all the things Niall had told me about meeting in the warehouse, where they were located. He said there were only three, two on the east coast and one down here. The one we went to was not in the direction we were headed today.
