Author's Note
I began writing my first draft of Breathe, Tommy here on Wattpad on my old account years ago. I was figuring myself out, and then I went through trauma and stopped writing.
But I was intuitively led back to this book. I had left off at 50k words into the original first draft. I spent three days cooped up inside, banging out another 20k words to finish the first draft, and I did. (Update: She gon be thickkkker than 70k gawd damn). There are a couple of missing pieces I'll be drafting along the way.
Seeing some of the messages I subconsciously left myself through my characters along the way helped me. Now this book is for you, too, and I hope it helps you as well. May it heal you, support you, understand you, and show you grace as much as it has for me.
