"Here's everything you need. This bag contains his favorite food and milk, and in this one," Pete meticulously checks the contents of the bag, "a sleeping blanket diapers, powder, cream, tissues and toys. If he doesn't fall asleep for a long time, you need to put him down…"
"Pete," his father takes Venice from Vegas with a smile, "I'm sure I can handle it. Don't worry so much," the older alpha winks at both of them, "have a nice evening. Will you pick up the baby before eleven in the morning tomorrow? After that, I have to go on some business issues."
Pete looks from his father to Vegas and back, "Why tomorrow? We'll pick him up before eleven tonight... right?" He looks at Vegas again.
His husband is exchanging glances with his father. The latter's face expresses: everything is in your hands. Pete stubbornly purses his lips — oh, this alpha solidarity! — and says:
"Okay, we'll go. We'll be back at eleven. If there's any problem call me right away."
Already in the taxi, Pete squints at the alpha sitting next to him:
"What kind of secret glances did you and my father have? Did you tell him that we would only pick up Venice in the morning?"
The driver brakes at a traffic light:
"Pete."
"What?"
"Well, we're not little kids."
"So what?" Pete snorts so funny, which causes Vegas to laugh, "do you think you dined with me at a restaurant and everything is allowed?"
In response, the alpha laughs out loud:
"First of all, I haven't had dinner with you yet. And secondly, we've been married for, like, a few months now. Thirdly, this is not an ordinary restaurant. But it certainly doesn't oblige you to do anything."
Pete wrinkles his nose and hides a smile. In fact, it's been so long since he's been on a date that he's totally not averse to getting out somewhere.
"Good."
An unusual restaurant turned out to be really quite unusual. Pete will have dinner for the first time during a cruise on the Chao Phraya River. He notes with a smile that Vegas surprises him again. Expensive wine and delicious food are brought to them. Pete looks back at the twilight landscape passing by them. Slow pleasant music is playing. And across from him sits the alpha, staring at him intently.
"Our first date, then," Vegas raises his glass.
Pete smooths the corners of the cloth napkin and raises his glass too. "To Venice?"
Vegas has a half smile on his lips:
"Why not to all of us?"
Pete is embarrassed and nods slightly several times:
"Of course, of course. To all of us."
Vegas's gaze, on the other hand, suddenly begins to fill with tender admiration. Pete blames it on the wine, but the omega can't deny how it touches his heart. They smile at each other. For a few moments, the sounds of the world around are muffled. Against the background of their eye-to-eye views, the city lights are reflected in the dark waters, creating an absolutely magical atmosphere. The cruise ship glides smoothly along the river, which envelops them in its peaceful whisper. The whole atmosphere of a night cruise is like a moment of complete happiness and magic that will remain in your memory for a long time.
After dinner, they continue to enjoy the views, standing at the edge. It's a little cooler now. Pete, who had packed Venice so carefully, dressed himself too lightly for the evening. He's already starting to shiver in his thin white shirt.
