"It's a solo mission?" Saiki asked 
"Yes, we need you to secure an anomaly, along with you investigating Earth-42 in general." Miguel responds 
Even though his face doesn't show it, Saiki is confused. He hasn't really been here that long, just about a month and two weeks, why is he going?
"Lyla, explain to the kid." Miguel orders
Lyla pops out. "What's the magic word?" She says, in voice you would use to talk to your dog
Miguel sighs in disappointment and covers his eyes with his hand "Lyla..."
"Yeah yeah, just playing with ya grumps!"
Miguel looks both disgusted and annoyed at the nickname
"Well then! Saiki look!"
He watches as she glitches across the place to end up almost right infront of him. She pulls up a hologram of Earth 42's layout
A bunch of red dots appear across the map, signifying all the anomalies in this multiverse "We need you, to go and get rid of all the anomalies, AND find the radioactive spider. The problem is, by this time, a Spider-Person should already exist by now. But there is none. Due to this, villains and criminals have been thriving more than ever. As of right now I believe that the chaos that Earth-1610 has caused is part of the reason. You will also be investigate Earth-1610 during this mission!"
"And why me?"
"Because you are simply perfect for the job! With your psychic abilities you can average about 4 anomalies gone within a span of two hours. Which is exactly what we need with the over flowing amount of anomalies in that dimension alone! Though you will be constantly transferred to both Earth-42 and 1610 to try and get the information needed as soon as possible!"
'Can't they just send two separate Spider-People to each dimension?'
Lyla glitches around back to where Miguel is standing. "Do you have any q-q- questions?" She asks, her voice slightly glitching 
"Can't you just get someone else to do it?"
Saiki asks, sighing in his head. Looking both dead inside and out.
Done with this spider society bullshit
"Hmm, nope!"
"..." 
The silence speaks volumes, with Saiki staring dead at Layla and her smiling awkwardly; with her hands behind her back, comedically looking side to side
Saiki's face darkens in return to her fake obliviousness
Of course he would refuse to do it, he just got here. And he doesn't even care about what their trying to do. His goal is to live an average life, be an average person, and get as little attention as possible
He's been drifting away from that goal..
Layla nervously side glances Miguel. It's strange because the Ai is usually cocky, annoying, and humorous, but now she's as silent as a mouse, looking over at Miguel for assistance in what to do
"*Sigh*" Miguel offered a months worth of jelly in return, after a few more seconds of awkward tension, Saiki accepts and walks out of the office

" *𝘎𝘢𝘴𝘱* you really made him do that!?" Pav asks in shock, his jaw basically touching the floor, meanwhile Hobie is cackling quite obnoxiously, with his head leaned back and resting his arms on his stomach, getting judgmental looks from other costumers
