Chapter 2 - Remission

                                    

                                          
After Angel Dust was done with work, he immediately went back to the hotel to tell Charlie what he saw. If the demon he saw really was Adam, then he would certainly try to cause trouble for them.
"Charlie!" Angel huffed as he ran in the lobby of the hotel.
"Angel? What happened? Are you okay?"
"I think I saw Adam.."
"What?! But... I thought he died. We all saw Niffty killed him!" She paused for a moment. "Do you think it's possible that after he died, he remanifested as a sinner...?"
"I don't know... maybe? Anyway- he was talking with Valentino-"
"Your boss..?!"
"Yes..." Angel sighs. "I know Adam tried to kill us, but..."
"But... you'd feel bad if he made a deal with Valentino and ended up in a situation like yours...?"
"Yeah..."
"Then... we better go find him!"
Charlie hugs Angel.
"I'll take care of this! You don't need to worry about a thing."
"Be careful." Angel says before hugging her back.
Meanwhile... on the other side of Pentagram City...
Adam is up to no good. With how desperate some sinners are, he uses his "charisma" to easily steal money from them. The best part (for him, at least) is that this is hell, and no one cares if he steals money from other sinners.
To him, this is as easy as things could get. No effort, no struggle, just stealing from unsuspecting demons while he flirts with them.
Until...
"Hey! That's the asshole that stole my money!"
...he stole money from a prostitute.
"Shit..." Adam thought to himself before running away. However, it didn't take long until others realized he had stolen from them, too. Poor guy got himself in some deep shit.
He doesn't know Pentagram City very well, so it didn't take long until he ran into a dead end. He didn't have anything to defend himself with. No angelic powers, no axe guitar, no nothing. He was powerless against a crowd of angry demons who actually have a clue how things work around here. Could this be the end for him?

"Hey! What's going on here?!" 
It was... Charlie. 
She made her way through the crowd of angry sinners.
"The fuck do you want, you dumb bitch?!" A sinner yelled at her.
"That's not very nic-"
"That fuck-face stole our money!" Another sinner interrupted her. "Get out of our way!"
"I'm sure this dispute can be settled in a non-violent way. Ahem..." 
Charlie cleared her throat and was about to start singing as the crowd groaned.
"Ugh! Take your stupid money back!" Adam shouted as he tossed the money he stole at the sinners.
They all immediately started fighting for the money.
Adam took the opportunity to sneak away and go back to his "home".
"Wait!" Charlie said as she went after him.
She followed him, trying to talk to him. She tried, and she tried but to no avail. Adam just kept ignoring her until they got to a more destroyed and abandoned side of the city.
"Just listen to me-"
"Can't you fuck off already?!" Adam finally snapped. "I already know what the fuck you're going to say! And I'm not gonna stay at that stupid fucking hotel!"
"I just want to talk. I want to understand you-"
"Understand me?! Understand that you, your friends, your family and your stupid hotel ruined my fucking life! It's all your fucking fault! Just fuck off already! Leave me the fuck alone!"
Adam angrily stormed off as Charlie just stood there feeling defeated. Despite everything that had happened, she still wanted to help him. She cared for him and wanted to keep him safe because she couldn't help but feel that, despite his rough exterior, deep down, Adam is just broken and frail emotionally.

Charlie went back to the hotel and sat down on a couch in the lobby as she sighed. She really wanted to help Adam because she couldn't help but feel guilty for him being in this situation, especially after what he said to her... "it's your fault"...
"Char char? Is everything alright?" Lucifer said as he sat down next to her.
"Huh?... y-yeah. Everything's alright, dad. I was just... thinking..."
"Are you sure? You seem pretty gloomy..."
"It's just... I tried to convince Adam to stay at the hotel and hopefully get redeemed..." Charlie sighed. "I feel like... it's my fault he ended up in hell... I never wanted to kill him..."
"I'll go talk to him."
Charlie looked at him.
"Really?"
"Mhm." Lucifer nods. "Give me a few minutes, and I'll bring him here."
"Thank you!" Charlie said as she hugged her dad tightly.
Meanwhile, Adam was walking around the city to calm down. He thought "how date she have the audacity to ask me to stay at that stupid fucking hotel?! After he dumb 'friends' fucking killed me!!". He sighed. Adam wished he would go back home in Heaven where he believes he belongs, but he said it himself. Hell is forever.
Adam sat down on the ground and hummed. This wasn't fair to him. He didn't deserve this. He became one of the demons he was once killing for fun. It was a crushing and devastating feeling; knowing that you've lost everything... again.
"Adam." a voice spoke up behind him.
He turned to face whoever was speaking to him. It was Lucifer. To him, the now fallen angel who planted the seed for the root of all evil; the one who ruined his life.
"The fuck do you want?" Adam snarled at him.
In response, Lucifer just held his hand out for him to grab.
"We need to talk."
"Ugh. About wh-"
"About what happened in Eden... and everything that happened after."
"You've got to be fucking kidding me."
Lucifer sighed at Adam's response then grabbed his hand and pulled him in for a hug.
"Wh- WHAT THE FUCK?! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" Adam shouted as he tried to push him away.
"Making amends. As should you."
"Wh-..."
He let go him.
"Now... you're either going to listen to me and let my daughter try to redeem you or don't, and I'll force you to do that anyway."
"You're crazy if you think I'll stay at that stupid fucking hotel!-"
"Very well." Lucifer said, as he snapped his fingers and a collar appeared around Adam's neck, with a chain attached to it.
"The fuck?!-"
"I told you. Either cooperate or I'll make you cooperate." he smirked devilishly.

A lot of disciplining awaits Adam in the next chapter. Very, VERY rough disciplining. Maybe he'll learn his lesson and cooperate, or maybe he won't and suffer the consequences... Stay tuned~)
