RUHANI'S POV"He won't pick the call bhai."
I said in shaky while holding my phone tightly in my trembling hands. Bhai looked up at me with a frown and placed his mobile back in his pocket before stepping forward and asks while holding both of my arms.
"What do you mean by that ? "
Before he could say anything further, I extended my phone to him, showing the text I just received from Jay. The frown on his face deepen as his pupils traced the long text message.
"I knew facing his father would be difficult but I never once thought it would affect him to this extent that he would want to be left alone."
I spoke worriedly as a low sob escaped my lips, lowering my arm I locked my phone before throwing it on the bed. Bhai rubbed his index finger on his temple while speaking, sounding unsure of his own words.
"Perhaps he needs some space."
I sat down on the bed with a sigh, leaning my head on the wall I looked up before speaking, my voice still sounding heavy.
"I should have been there with him at a time like this but ."
Looking back down, I let out another sigh feeling helpless at the our current situation. Seeing me upset, bhai walked towards be and took a seat beside me. I pouted and leaned on his shoulder, fidgeting with my fingers, I ask in a low tone.
"Am I a bad girlfriend bhai?"
He looked suprised for a second but quickly held my shoulders and patted my head before answering loud and clear, emphasising on each word that left his mouth.
"Not all all smarty, just because he needs some time alone, it doesn't make you a bad girlfriend. He is capable of handling himself, let him be alone for some time if that's what he needs Hmm?"
JAY'S POV
I opened my eyes with a jerk when I felt harsh hits of sticks. Looking around me, I found my hands tied above my head attached to the ceiling as two masked man kept hitting me with a thick wooden stick all over my back. I stumbled forward due to the hard hits but my tied hands prevented from moving too much.
Loud grunts and groans left my mouth as those sticks left red marks all over my back leaving a stinging sensation which hurted as hell. My head hurted when I tried to recall what happened after I passed out last night but no answer came back from my brain.
Looking up, I saw Max beating another person who was also caged up in another lock-up. Narrowing my eyes, I tried to look clearer from in between the bars but a cold shiver ran through my back when I realised what they were doing to him. The shock was too much take in, that I even forgot about the hits I was bearing on my back.
