Luffy screamed, wiggled, cursed, fought, but even with all her haki and strength, Garp easily maneuvered her and dragged her to Colubo mountain. Her throat became irritated by her screaming and her voice became hoarse and scratchy due to the rough treatment.
—Luffy, Women are supposed to be at home, far away from the battlefield, they need to raise the children and take care of the house.
Luffy grunted, not listening to the man's nonsense, maybe it was due to the fact that Shanks never treated her as an inferior, and also the fact that she was more accustomed to her previous life where men and women were equal in the grand line. But Luffy wasn't going to yield under the feet of men, she was now a woman, yes, but if she sins of something, that sin is pride.
— Ace, Sabo, you know Luffy, she will be living with you both from now on

Luffy sighed as she saw her siblings fight like dogs for a piece of meat, piece that she already ate, they should have been more aware of their surroundings. God she misses Shanks, at least it was fun to play and train with him, they used haki and her Devil Fruit, he taught her about battle strategy and how to fight with a sword. Summarised, it was fun. This Sabo and Ace were boring. Always whining about protecting her from every type of danger, which was cute, until she fully understood that that ment she couldn't get out of the house, she couldn't walk around the forest without one of them or a bandit, she couldn't go to the Grey Terminal and worse, she couldn't go and visit Makino because "the Village wasn't allowed for her anymore". She stood up, wanting to stretch her legs in a not rubbery way and walked to where she knew was the beach. Ace and Sabo quited their fight to follow her like lost puppies, again whining about dangers that Luffy didn't care about because what could a Crocodile from Dawn do? It was an animal, unlike the Crocodile she helped scape from prison her last life, that one had real teeth.

Luffy looked at the same Crocodile she met in Arabasta on her previous life, except, that she wasn't in Arabasta, and this was nine years previous the Arabasta civil war. The tall man was alongside Garp, smoking one of his cigars and his hook shiny as a polished gold coin under the light. The muscle showed with every move he made and Luffy tilted her head to the side because this didn't make any sense.
— May I help you Sir Crocodile?
The man smiled, maybe, if Luffy had used her Haki, she would have foreseen the revelation that was up to come.

— So, you birthed me, and Dragon sent me here right away.
She said, repeating what the bigger man told her, she was sat on his lap, looking at the sunset. Luffy was laying against him, her head resting over his chest. To think that Crocodile was her own mother, when once he pierced her chest with his hook.
— Exactly, it took me seven years to finally find you Luffy, I won't let anyone take you away again.
Luffy felt the warm sand and the embrace of the man who birthed her, slowly she felt the arms of Morpheus slowly claiming her. Maybe she could only sleep on the arms of pirates.

— Daddy Daddy c'mon! We have to train!
Luffy said excitedly as Crocodile woke up, he smiled sweetly at her as he gave her a kiss on her cheek. They had breakfast and then they walked to a special clearing of the forest where Crocodile and the Baroques cleaned for Luffy to train. Ace, Sabo and Garp tried to argue, but Crocodile stated that since Luffy spent nine months in her womb, and he was a man, he had more decision power.
