David's POV.
Of course, the message Vera sent increased my anger. Shit, she's still pulling at my strings of control.
I'm just right about to snap. And yes, I snapped. I turned to Charlie who was following me rattling off the usual from his iPad without a single care in the world and hollered.
"Don't, Charlie! I need space. Just...fuck off and give me a goddamn space!"
The boy's face tinged with fear at my outburst. I almost apologized
but I want to get off on the idea that my outrage really got at someone.
No...Charlie isn't the goddamn person that's supposed to be on the receiving end of this.
It's that stupid ass boy...that's trying to get my priceless daughter to be his girlfriend.
All hell will let loose if I get to her school.
I'm going to take down any fucking Male I see around her. Dang it! Vera...oh that girl is a devil and she's lolling me in her web.
Maybe she's not but somehow...somewhere along the line, I found myself trapped. Inescapable.
My feet clomp on the tiled floor as I head over to the elevator after Charlie apologized and runs as his feet can carry him.
I punch numbers into the pad and the elevator starts moving.
I get my phone and punch Andrei's number into my cell. Andrei picks on the first ring and I boom out.
"Where are you?"
"Boss. I'm guarding Vera in school." He tells me.
I nod even though he can't see.
"Any problem, boss? Do you think there's a threat lurking around?" Andrei asks, his voice chiseled with concern.
Yes, I grunt inwardly. That Dame high school boy wooing Vera is the damn threat to my peace...to my desire...to my feelings.
A huge threat, I bite out lowly so Andrei wouldn't hear.
"Not at all."
At that, I end the call and stumble away when the elevator arrives on the down floor.
I adjust my brown tweed Jacket while walking outside to the garage.
Just one glimpse at me and my driver comes running over.
"To Vera's school." I gnarl and he steps on the gas and wheel away from the company.
All the while my phone's ringing with Mr. Edward's name flashing on the screen, I don't even pick it up.
I'm mostly concerned with getting to Vera and getting that fucked up guy trying to influence her.
Expertly, my driver maneuvers various cars. He makes mid-stop when the traffic signs changes but continues afterward.
Impatience swirls through me, I urge him to keep going until finally we arrive at the school.
I alight from the car, adjusting my suit.
"Boss?" Andrei's surprised voice slams into me. He crossed the distance between us and gets to me.
 "I wasn't expecting to see you here. Anything gone wrong?"
I cut my eyes to him and then back at the giant building with something similar to a dome on top of it and then I sigh.
"No Andrei. All is cool." I quirk my brows and add. "I came to visit my daughter."
Andrei knows the smile I whispered is fake. I see his eyes taking on a dark gleam as his mind processes the reason I'm here.
