The Ranch
Atlanta,GaThe sun is high, casting a golden glow over the sprawling ranch. The air is filled with laughter and the soft rustle of leaves. The scene is set for a day of joy, the morning of Promise and Quan's wedding.
"Alright, gentlemen, let's see those model faces!" The photographer said cheerfully, they guys lined up posing for the camera.
"Gah damn happy ahh Nigga" ManMan said, referring to the photographers ecstatic energy. The guys laughed, being that they had been up since early this morning he was genuinely concerned as to why he had this much energy.
The groomsmen, including Jayceon, Emanuel, Saint, Draco, and Whiteboy, strike a mix of hilariously exaggerated and suavely professional poses.
The photographer snaps away, capturing the camaraderie and the picturesque backdrop.
"Ok Quan, it's time for the first look. Remember, no peeking until she touches your shoulder." He said moving his camera to a different angle. Quan shook his head.
Quan stood with his back turned, a bundle of nerves and excitement. His friends have teased him about this moment, but nothing could prepare him for what was about to happen.
"Niggas got me in a dress and shit" Draco whispered to himself as he walked up behind Quan in promises dress. He was the only one that could fit in it.
The groomsmen stifle their laughter as Draco, in a stunning bridal gown, steps forward. He placed a hand on Quan's shoulder.
Quan turns, expecting to see Promise, but his expression morphs from joy to shock and then to amusement as he sees Draco. He realized almost instantly that it wasn't his fiancé.
"Boy yo ass different on my momma" Quan said laughing at him and the guys fell out. The laughter was infectious, even the photographer couldn't help but join in, snapping photos of this unexpected twist.
"Alright, alright, let's get serious. Promise is coming for real this time." The photographer says as Draco walks away, soon rejoining the group of men in his suit. The anticipation builds anew.
Quan turns again, his heart racing. This time, when he feels the touch on his shoulder, it's gentle, unmistakably Promise. He turns, lifting the veil, and is immediately taken aback by her beauty.
"Nah you look.."he couldn't finish his words, his breath trembled as he tried his best to hold it together. "You gone make me mess up my makeup" she whined out looking up, fanning her eyes feeling the tears build up.
Promise smiles, a radiant, heartfelt smile. The bridesmaids, including Neasha and Danae, along with Quan's mom, watch the scene, touched by the emotion.
Her dad stood to the side, sniffling trying his best to hide his emotions. Seeing his little girl, all grown up in her wedding dress on her wedding day. "Aww da" she said looking away, everyone getting emotional was really having her fighting the tears.
"This is so beautiful, truly. Let's get the whole family in here." The photographer who captured it all, complimented them. He took pictures of the entire interaction.
Jayceon, their son, joins them, adding to the warmth of the moment. The bridesmaids and groomsmen gather around the couple, their green and white attire complementing the natural beauty of the ranch.
The camera captures it all - the laughter, the tears, the love. This is a day they'll remember forever, a perfect blend of comedy and romance under the wide, open sky.
