Puck furrowed his eyebrow as he looked at the text. Even without seeing her signature, he had recognized the unsaved number. He was surprised Quinn had reached out, and he wanted to respond to her but had typed out several messages, deleting them every time.

Puck bit his lip after sending the second text. He knew it was bold to say that after he and Quinn had stopped talking months ago, but it was the truth. Despite their fights and their drama, he really did miss her.

Puck raised his eyebrow. Months with zero contact other than an occasional happy birthday or happy holidays text, but no real conversations or back and forth, and now she wanted to see him?

Puck sighed. He was so used to Quinn playing games and stringing him along, and he usually just went along with her, but now he felt like he had to be more protective, even if that meant coming across like he didn't care.

Being called Noah drove Puck crazy. He had let go of that version of his name a long time ago, with very few exceptions. Quinn used to be one of them.
And suddenly, Puck needed to hear her voice. Before he could stop himself, he had clicked the button to call Quinn.
"Noah." Quinn answered the phone on the fifth ring.
"I don't want you not to be in my life." Puck blurted, completely disregarding the protective shield he had decided to put up only minutes ago.
"I'm in L.A. for work." Quinn informed Puck. "Can I see you?"
"Yeah." Puck said. "Come over."
"I'll be there."
