Guys I changed the title! I don't know if you noticed it or not XD I felt like Danny was more of a player anyways, so this works better.
Also, I changed the plot a lot recently. Things weren't flowing, so I needed to go back and make some adjustments. You'll notice that the title also reads 'editing', and that's because I've been adding a bit more dialogue and thoughts. Nothing too major, I promise.
I'll stop editing soon, but I'll start again when the story is done. I'm planning on close to 35 chapters, so we're already about a third of the way through :(

Also, sentences in italics are the character's thoughts, btw :)

Daniel's POV
You could say I was a pretty hungry person in the mornings.
I sleepily ambled down the wooden steps and made my way to the kitchen, where I could hear the everyday morning bustle of clattering pans and conversations.
"Dandan! Mama is makin' us some cakes!" I jogged over to Cade and ruffled his hair lovingly. 'Cakes' was what he called pancakes, and everyone in the family thought it was the most adorable thing.
"Awesome! Did you sleep well?" I asked, lifting him from his seat and plopping him down on my lap. My mother was smiling to herself as she cooked breakfast on the stove. Cade nodded and reached up to ruffle my hair in response, his fingers barely brushing my forehead.
I laughed and noticed a small movement in the corner of my eye. I turned to see Sierra leaning in the doorway, a large smile on her face. Once I'd spotted her, she quickly stood and concealed her smile.
Had she watched our whole interaction?
"Addie, do you need any help with breakfast?" Sierra piped up sweetly. My mom turned around and her face lit up when she laid her eyes on Si.
"Oh sweetie, you're such an angel! If you could finish up the pancakes and I'll get the bacon started..." Ruby walked into the kitchen then, looking like a zombie. Her One Direction pajamas were wrinkled and her hair was a rat's nest. I snickered at her appearance and she made a face at me.
"Is breakfast ready yet?" She demanded, taking a seat at the marble island on one of our leather stools.
"Almost done!" Sierra called and flipped the last pancake onto a plate.
We all ate fairly quickly once the meal had been put together, and it was as delicious as always. We each had at least two pancakes each, but I had five.
Hey, a growing young man needs to eat! Plus, these pancakes are really good.
"Honey, your father went to work earlier today, but he suggested you take Cade and the girls out to laser tag." I cheered at that, since laser tag was my favorite thing to do around here.
"Awesome! You guys better hurry, because I want to get there soon, okay?" I didn't wait for an answer before placing my dishes in the sink and running up the stairs.
I had to prepare myself for laser tag.

"Are you sure running around in a dark room with guns is legal?" Sierra frowned, giving the rows of laser tag guns hanging on the wall doubtful looks. We had just pulled on our protective vests that had electrical sensors attached to help see and determine the winner, and she was already doubting the funess of laser tag.
I snorted at her and walked over to pick out a gun. There were tons there, but I always went with the M4 Assault Rifle. It was like a good luck charm, and I hadn't lost a match ever since I started using it.
