"Rainbow wait!" Twilight called down the other side of the boat as she saw the strands of multi-coloured hair disappear around another corner. She didn't even know why she was chasing after her with such determination as if the girl really wanted to be alone, she should've let her have that, but listening to Sunset, the girl who knows others emotions best, she continued to follow her. She was getting a bit puffed as it seemed that Dash was making her way to the tip of the boat, all the way on the otherside of the deck than where they started, but she kept herself in a consistent speedwalk and ignored the stitch that was pinching at her side.

When she rounded the corner she saw the culprit sprint behind, she finally observed the girl come to a halt, hands pressed against the railing that went around the ships circumference as she stared off into the ocean with tense shoulders.

"Rainbow...?" Twilight asked softly as she slowed down and took careful steps nearer until she could see her face from her right, eyes widened and looking down at the water. Twi knew she was not the best with verbal encouragement, but she still tried her best, hating to see her friends torn apart and the trip in jeopardy. "I'm sorry about what happene-"

"Did you see that?" Dash cut her off with her eyes not leaving the slightly more intense, crashing waves, that slammed into the metal structure of their surface.

"See what happened between you and Applejack? I mean, yes, we all did-"

"No, in the water," the other specified which led Twilight to become confused as to why she was talking about something hardly related to the argument that the girlfriends had only had a few moments ago.

Looking down at the sea to see what she may have been talking about, upon observing nothing out of the ordinary, just a high tide, and a sure storm brewing, it was nothing worth making such a hassle over. "Rainbow, if you're trying to avoid talking about it, it's okay, just-"

"No Twilight, I know what I saw, it was a big glowing symbol in the water, I swear, it's got to be magic!" Rainbow told her, finally glancing up with an expression that was almost convincing enough for Twilight to believe she was telling the truth, half getting fed up with her dark magic talk.

"You know what's the greatest magic of all? Mother nature," Twilight responded to her with an unamused frown. "What you saw, was probably an innate phosphorescent biochemical property of common algae," she continued as she crossed her arms over her chest. "And even if it was magic, I think you need to fix things with Applejac-"

"No Twilight. I saw it, it wasn't some stupid science thing. And anyway...Applejack and I are over, she doesn't feel the same way about me as I feel about her so, why bother trying to fix things right? I need time away from her if I'll ever get over it," Dash replied as she jumped between the two topics of conversation the other brought up.

"But you and Applejack are meant for eachother, we all think so. It's a miracle you found eachother twice even after the memory wipe, if that doesn't tell you anything then I don't know what does," Twilight tried to emphasise her point further, yet only failing when Rainbow shook her head to herself and began to continue walking, using her left hand to lightly guide Twilight out of her way.

"She doesn't love me Twilight. And we've been together for months, longer than that even, if you count the last time we dated. If she doesn't feel that way about me now, after all this time, then she probably never will."
