Eden was walking alongside Tyler who was giving her the truth about his uncle Mason.
"Please don't think I'm crazy," Tyler began as they stood in the back of the crowd where his mother was going to address the people gathered. The Lockwood boy had confronted his uncle and found out the truth about his family. And he didn't really trust anyone except Eden right now with this secret. "My uncle Mason is a werewolf."
"Um," Eden gave him a doubtful look eventhough she knew the truth just to make Tyler believe that she didn't know about anything. Tyler gave her a look making her sigh. "Okay. I'll humour you. How did you find out? What's your proof?"
"The proof is I saw him turn into a wolf on the full moon," Tyler sighed. "I asked him about it. He said that it was a curse that all Lockwood's have, it's like a gene in our DNA. Mason told me that to trigger the gene you have to kill someone."
"So Mason killed somebody?"
"Accidentally," Tyler said slightly defending his uncle. "But yeah."
"How is this related to the thing he was looking for. . .moonstone right?" Eden played dumb. She felt like she was lying to everyone recently. It will definitely take a toll on her sometime soon. But for now all she can do is Lie, lie and lie again. "Did you find it?"
"Yeah," Tyler replied making the blonde girl loose a little bit of the tension in her shoulders. "It was in another safe."
"Just don't kill anyone, okay?" Eden joked making Tyler laugh as his mother walked up to the stage and began her speech.
"This is all part of the Historical society's continuing effort to give back to the community," the interim mayor, Carol Lockwood, spoke to the people who were all gathered to help at Society Volunteer picnic. "Thanks to generous donation of the Fell family. . .we are now standing on the site of our newest public park. Thank you to everyone who has shown up today to lend a helping hand. Thank you."
Eden walked away from Tyler considering that they had two different jobs and she was walking near the parking lot when Stefan suddenly appeared by her side and pulled her to make the girl stop. "Hey?"
"I saw you talking to Tyler," Stefan told her. "Did he mention anything about a moonstone, or the werewolf curse?"
