The last person I had expected to run into while at the grocery store was my mate. Yet there he stood tall and an handsome as he was the last time I saw him. It had been unexpected encounter as I had been with Mitch and the kids today since Uncle Ryder has pack business to attend to and he refused to let me come into town alone so Mitch tugged along to keep the boys entertained while I did the shopping with Victoria.
I had been looking at some of the vegetables when I scented him even before he came around the corner and accidentally bumped into Victoria who had appeared suddenly after having gone with her brothers and Mitch.
"Vic—" I was saying when he looked up and our eyes locked. I heard myself whisper as he stood across from me. "Mate."
Everything around me suddenly froze as I stood there staring at him as he stared back with an open mouth and eyes wide.
>he's so handsome< Alaska sighed in awe as we stood staring at our mate and I couldn't agree meow with him. snarled in my head making me blink and all the noise returned.
"Mama?" Victoria asked titling her head trying to get my attention which made me blink and look down at her.
"Yeah, baby?" I questioned and I could see my mate shiver and I enjoyed the fact I had an effect on him.
"Uncle Mitch said he was taking Jack and Aiden to the bathroom," she said and I nodded before looking back at my mate.
"Um," I said as I rubbed the back of my neck, "I'm sorry for my daughter bumping into you, earlier."
He blinked and looked down at Victoria who gave him a sheepish smile, "I'm sorry Mr."
He smiled and damn, he had the most beautiful smile I had ever laid eyes on, and shook his head, "no, I should be sorry," he said making us stare at him, "I should have been paying more attention to where I was going."
I smiled and nodded before introducing myself, "I'm Jaxon, by the way," I said extending my hand for a shake, he swallowed before extending his own for a handshake.
"I'm Max," He replied and as soon as our hands touched, our eyes looked again as an electric current ran through our arms at the contact.
"My name is Victoria!" Victoria exclaimed as she held out her own hand for a shake that had Max smiling as he shook her little hand.
"Nice to meet you, Miss Victoria." She smiled eyes sparkling in delight. A male suddenly appeared making me tense as how close he had stood beside my mate. Alaska growled possessively in my mind.
"Hey," the male greeted and I nodded, "names Kyle, by the way."
"Ja—" I was about to reply when Aiden and Jackson came running down the aisle with Mitch trialing after them. Both boys each had a toy in their hands making me raise a brow.
"Mama look what uncle Mitch got us!" Aiden said as he held a toy car.
"I told you that we were here to get dinner not toys," I said making Mitch shrug.
"It's one toy," he replied before noticing Max and Myles, "oh, hello."
Both men looked at each other before I introduced them, "these are Max and Myles."
"Kyle actually," the blonde replied,"I'd shake your hand but as you can see, hands are full." I pursed my lips at his lame joke while ny idiot forked chucked.
"Nice to meet you," he replied before looking at the shopping cart beside me, "are you making all of this for dinner tonight?"
"Yes," I answered before looking down at my sons, "boys, say hello."
