After spending the day with Adriano, we returned back to the mansion. Adriano went back to work and I went back to our room to change into other clothes and of course start my work. I decided to open my own company again. I decided to start from the beginning, while I left my family behind, and this also applies to my parents, who were never really the parents they should have been, and of course my ungrateful and selfish sisters, who are nothing to me. This is a new beginning for me and I will only dedicate myself to it now. To begin with, I need a laptop.
I went down to Adrian's office, and I just walked in without knocking because he told me I could, that I shouldn't knock.
"Baby, what happened?" He asked me when he saw me because it was two hours since we got back together.
"I wanted to ask you if I could go out so I could buy a new laptop, I'm going to start all over again. I'm going to create a new company and that's how I'll use my free time. Can I take the car and maybe go get everything I need?" When I started talking about work, he didn't protest at any point, but when I said that I would go get everything by myself, that changed.
"You can, but Maxton has to go with you, and he can't leave you at any moment, if it's going to be like that, then there's no problem." Excellent.
"Of course, that's how it will be. Thank you." I went to him, kissed him and headed for the door.
"Alex, you forgot something." He said and I turned to him confused.
His card. If he already offers it, why not.
"Thanks, see you." I went back to him to get the card, took it and quickly disappeared from his office.


"Miss, give me all those things, I'll carry them." Said one of the guards who is with me and Maxton.
"Okay." I told him after holding out my hands full of things I bought. I bought everything. Some little things for the house, some new clothes, I managed to find two dresses for special occasions. I bought makeup because I don't have any at all, I bought a few pairs of heels and I'm really happy with today's selection. I got myself a new mobile phone that will only be used for work, as well as a laptop, and on the other hand I also got a tablet that will come in handy.
"Maxton, I want to go get some ice cream while we're still here." I told him and continued walking towards the sweet shop I saw.
"Miss Romero, maybe we better go back, Adriano sent a message to go back." Only half an hour more.
"Okay, but when I eat my ice cream. Come sit with me." I told Maxton, who was not too happy with my answer, but he is only here to protect me, and he listens.
"Okay, miss. Sit down and I'll get you the ice cream you want." He answered me.
"Pistachio, please." I told him and took out my cell phone, which started ringing.  Who's calling me now?
"Adriano?" I answered his call.
"I think it would be time for you to come back. You yourself know that this was not the best idea. You could order it all online. Right?" Of course, but it's not the same when I have the freedom to roam around the shopping mall. I'm not as interested in the internet.
"I know, but I'll be back as soon as I eat the ice cream..."
"I missed your smell and your long beautiful hair." I froze at the same moment when I recognized the voice of the person standing behind me. Maxton has a gun pointed at the person behind me, as do the other ten guards who are with me.
"ALEXANDRA!!!" I couldn't pick up my cell phone, I just heard all that noise around me while my whole body was taken away.
"Put down your weapon, you will scare her. I didn't come here to fight, but to see my queen." I'm going to throw up. The guards did not move from their place and were waiting for my signal, but I cannot allow a massacre to happen in the shopping center even though all the people have run out by now.
I have to face my fear. I can't be afraid all the time, I won't let him control me.
I got up from my chair and slowly turned around until our eyes met. The second I saw his face, everything I said disappeared. The fear returned and my legs seemed to be taken away from me. I couldn't say anything.
He took a step towards me, but Maxton immediately stood next to me.
Adriano where are you?
"You don't have to be afraid, no one will shoot and attack. As I said, I just came to see Alexandra, until the next meeting."  He said and laughed at me but my tears kept falling.
"Why are you crying my queen, I won't hurt you. We settled the bills we had to settle, but. But the only thing I still miss is you next to me." My stomach started to turn. Maxton came to me and put his hands gently on my cheeks.
"Calm down, don't let his words touch you. We're taking care of you. Calm down." Maxton hugged me, but one person didn't like it one bit.
"Who are you to hug her! Get away from her!" Dante shouted as my whole body began to shake.
"Please take me out of here. Maxton I can't take this anymore." I tried to tell him as quietly as possible.
"Stand up in the line in front of us!"  Maxton shouted and lifted me into his arms because he saw that I couldn't do anything.
"This is not over! No one can touch you but me!!" His voice just disappeared from my ears as we went further.
We entered the garage and as soon as he let me down from his arms, I turned around and threw up. I started crying again because I know this won't be over as long as he lives and walks freely in the world.
"Come Miss Romero, Adriano will be here soon." He gave me tissues to wipe my mouth and took out a bottle of water from my purse with which I rinsed my mouth.
"ALEXANDRA!!"
