"You really didn't see the sadness or longing unless you already knew it was there. But that was the trick, wasn't it? Everyone had their disappointment and their baggage; only some people carried it in their inside pockets and not on their backs."
LEGACIES: Hope's Point of View
"Wait a minute! Cute puppy boy, Scott from History class is a werewolf? Lizzie exclaimed as I nodded. We had arrived in the halls for another mind-numbing day at the not-so-normal Beacon Hills High School.
After last night's revelation, I couldn't stop thinking about him. How red his eyes glowed in the distance kept bringing me into a daze. He's strangely beautiful.
"I can't believe it! This universe actually has other supernatural creatures," Lizzie says. "Yeah, but the question is if we can trust him." I said once we got in front of my locker. "Well, he trusted you enough to admit it," Lizzie declared. "Yeah," I nodded, placing textbooks into the locker. "That was only because she had seen him in his wolf form," Josie says and then cocked her head to the side. "Or half wolf-form?"
That was the thing. I had realized after seeing him that while there are werewolves, I don't think they are anything like the wolves back home. They were completely different. It makes me wonder what else is out here in this world and just how different things are in this universe.
"We should tell the boys right?" Josie asks me. I glanced at her unsure and reluctant but I also didn't want to lie to them. And eventually I'd have to tell Dr. Saltzman. And maybe Scott and his friends could help figure out how to get out of here.
But even as all these thoughts and questions roamed through my mind, I didn't trust Scott or the others as much as I wanted to. It's not safe for them to know everything about me and my friends.
I still don't really know him.
"Maybe," I shrugged. "We can tell the guys. Let's wait before telling your dad. I need to see if I can trust Scott first." I declare to the girls. They agreed and we ended up meeting the boys in the hallway, getting ready to tell them the news.

PERSPECTIVE SWITCH TO 1ST PERSON: SCOTT
I slid into the parking lot of the school on my motorcycle with a certain redhead. Or not. Is auburn considered red? I don't know but Hope has been running through my mind since I got home yesterday from the woods.
I didn't know what to really think but I felt grateful that Hope didn't go crazy on me. But also, who is she really? Why didn't seem scared or really shocked by the idea of walking among supernatural creatures/
I need to talk to her.
I got off my bike as my thoughts are interrupted when I catch Ethan and Aiden. The identical werewolf twins who have tried to kill me on multiple occasions. Literally. They walked up to me in a way that made me wonder if they have been waiting for me or are back in school.
"You guys are back at school?" I say, not overly enthusisatc by the idea. "No, just to talk."
Stiles then walks up from behind me inturppting anything they had to say with Issac coming in from beside him. "That's such a change of pace for you guys," he says. "Usually, you're just hurting, maiming, and killing." The guys ignore Stiles' snarky comments and continue to talk.
"You need a pack. We need an Alpha." One of the boys says. The audacity for them to ask that of me is insane.
"Yeah. Absolutely not," Stiles answers clearly showing he didn't want anything to do with them. "That's hilarious though."
