Chapter 17 : Light & Shadow

                                    

                                          
This is my last chance; with this kind of power, I might be able to take him down. 
I wanna see his arrogant face fall to the ground. Without hesitation, I'm shooting a light ray from my gloves. 
"Take this Fang! LIGHT RAYS!!". A laser-shaped light bursts out from my gloves, traveling at high speed. 
"Shadow barr-". 
Fang was about to do another shadowgraphy, but the light traveled so fast that he couldn't dodge it. 
My light ray hits his arms, causing damage to his body. Fang was trying to do another shadowgraphy, but I could see that his arms were shivering. The damage my light causes is no joke. 
"S-Shadow Eagle!!". 
Fang summons an eagle from the sky and rushes towards me at full speed. I've seen this movie before, so I'm trying not to get hit again. 
"Light dash!".
I'm moving so fast from my spot, almost like a short-distance teleport, making the eagle hit the ground. I'm aiming my finger at the eagle to shoot him. But the eagle disappeared and moved to my back, trying to charge me from behind. 
I quickly leap to dodge its charge, shooting the eagle from a safe spot. "Light burst!". 
My light hits the eagle and makes the eagle banish slowly. I aim my finger at Fang, and I am ready to shoot him from a distance. But Fang's intuition is insane; he makes a shadow barrier around his body before my light touches him.
My light was blocked by his shadow barrier, and his barrier suddenly disappeared after I absorbed my light burst, and Fang pushed back a little bit. It looks like the shadow barrier isn't strong enough to absorb my light, causing slight damage to Fang.
"I'll make sure you feel the same as Gopal". 
"Light leap!", I dashed on Fang within a blink of an eye. 
"Light rays!". I shoot a ray of light from my fingers right in front of Fang's face. 
Fang thrown away to the ground, my light ray finally reaches him this time. Fang touches his face with his arm, to resist the pain on him. My light ray slightly burnt his face, making his beautiful face turn red and brown. 
"Take that! You deserved to lay on that dirty asphalt. Don't worry, I'll end this quickly, Light Burst!". 
I shot Fang with my light burst, but he could dodge it by making another shadow barrier. He's covering himself in the shadow, making me unable to see him.
The shadow barrier slowly disappears, but Fang is gone. He's using my own shadow to leap behind my back and charge me from behind. 
"Shadow Arms!!". A bunch of shadow arms surrounded me, and all of them came to me at once. It's so hard to dodge, all of the arms pushed me down to the parking lot asphalt. 
My whole body is shivering; I'm badly injured. It feels like I've been punched a thousand times all over my body. I was starting to lose my fighting spirit, I could barely lift my head, and I could feel the blood taste on my tongue. 
"I win.", said Fang proudly standing in front of me.
Fang slowly walks away from me. But I'm just lying on the ground.
This reminds me of my nightmare. Maybe this is what my mom felt on that day. Maybe she could taste her blood on his tongue at the last minute; maybe this is what she saw when the robbers slowly left our house.
If I think about it, I'm just making it worse. My life is already full of regrets; I have no right to stay alive since I have nothing to lose. It might be best for me to keep pushing myself forward, no matter what happened to me later, but at least I don't want any regrets to haunt my whole life.
