Derek was cautious as he stepped out into the hallway. He kept vigilant, inspecting his environment after he shut the door. His senses couldn't detect the perpetrator anywhere near him so he set off along the halls for the administration office, keeping his footsteps as light as he could.
He kept his senses alert as he walked, listened for any sounds that would be considered out of the ordinary. That way, he would be prepared if he came into contact with anyone, be it friend or foe. Much to his relief, no threats were detected as he safely made it to the office. He quickly opened the door, leaving it open in case of attacks, and began to check for the control panel. At the same time, he checked the landlines, cursing when he saw the cords severed. He resumed his search, pushing any thoughts of attempting to call the outside world out of his mind.
He finally located the panel and pried it open, growing in annoyance when he noticed the buttons were missing. 'That fucker thought of everything. Dammit.' His mind thought as he turned away from it and began scouring the office for them. He paused his movements when metal clanking sounded out of nowhere and rushed to the open door only to see the emergency doors shutting all around him, sealing off his escape route. He was completely trapped now.
"Shit!" Derek growled angrily. He looked around, trying to find any sort of gap that would result in his escape but that plan was quickly dashed when he saw nothing. With no way to communicate with the others, he had no choice but to turn the office over, making a mess of it, as he tried again to find the buttons. He hoped the attacker hadn't taken them but with each passing second and no sign of them, he knew that hope was futile.
Jackson's head whipped up when he heard distant clanking.
"What? What is it?" Lydia asked quickly.
"I heard clanking. Like metal doors."
"Doors? Plural?" Lydia swallowed.
Jackson nodded. "I'm gonna go check it out. Stay here." Lydia nodded and watched as Jackson left the room. He followed Derek's scent to the office, swallowing his fear when he saw the multiple doors. "Derek?"
Derek appeared in the doorway, sneezing. "Doors shut and the buttons for the control panel are missing."
"Shit." Jackson cursed and looked around. "So we're trapped on this end?"
"Unfortunately." Derek's face was grim. "You shouldn't stay here for long. The wolfsbane is already getting to me."
Jackson nodded. "Any idea where else the buttons could be?"
"I don't know. I've searched in here but I think the attacker took them." He sighed.
"Fuck." Jackson ran a hand through his hair.
"You should get back to Lydia and Stiles. I don't want them left alone."
"What about you?"
"I'll be alright, I'll figure a way out." A look of resolve shined bright in his eyes.
Jackson nodded. "Be careful." He said and quickly headed back to the infirmary. Once he arrived back, he quickly shut the door after entering and looked out the small window in it to see if anyone had followed him.
"Jackson?" Stiles asked, his voice a little groggy as he eyed the other werewolf.
Jackson looked over at him. "You're awake. How's the head?"
"A little sore but Lydia gave me some painkillers. Where are the others?"
"Allison and Scott went looking for an exit. Lydia went with them but she got separated because an emergency door got triggered. Derek went to the office to try and get them unlocked but got trapped in it himself. He's looked for the buttons but he thinks the attacker took them."
