Scott groaned achingly as he reached around for the dagger and pulled it out, letting his body relax on the ground to heal as Allison turned the emitter off and pocketed it. Once Jackson and Derek recovered, taking seconds to do so, they rushed to Stiles and Lydia's side as Allison stayed beside Scott.
Derek managed to carefully wake Stiles up, thankful he did, as Jackson helped Lydia to her feet and both began checking them over for any broken bones or other injuries. "You okay?" Derek asked, helping Stiles sit up.
"I think so. My head hurts like hell but other than that, I think I'm fine." Stiles said, pressing a hand to his forehead, grimacing in pain.
"I'm alright. My head is fine." Lydia promised Jackson, reassuring him. "We should get Stiles to the infirmary. They hit him really hard over the head."
The group nodded and situated themselves before they regrouped. Stiles managed to get to his feet before he wobbled, unsteady due to the hit. Derek's arms shot out to catch Stiles before he could fall.
"We need to move now." Derek wrapped an arm around Stiles to keep him upright. The group began moving, making their way to the infirmary. They were careful as they walked through the halls, trying to make as minimal noise as possible. They checked around every corner with Scott and Allison in front of Derek and Stiles with Lydia and Jackson at the back.
They were halfway to the infirmary when Derek ended up scooping Stiles into his arms because it had become too much for him to walk. The younger teen whined in pain and hid his face in Derek's shoulder, trying to block out whatever light the moon provided. "We're almost there, Stiles." Derek comforted him, keeping a secure hold on him.
Derek was extremely thankful when they found the infirmary and discovered the door was unlocked with no one inside. They filed into the room with Derek going first and quickly laid Stiles down on one of the beds as the others began to look for pain meds while Allison checked him over.
"He has a concussion." Allison sighed. "He needs to rest for a bit, let himself recover. Someone needs to stay here if the rest of us go looking for a way out."
"Here." Jackson handed the painkillers to Derek. "I can stay with him."
"I'll stay with him, too." Derek said, taking a seat beside Stiles.
"We'll go look for an exit then." Scott looked at Allison.
"I'm coming with you." Lydia said. She was done with being scared.
"Lydia—" Jackson started.
"I'll be fine, Jackson. I'm done with being scared. I'll be with them, I'll be safe." Lydia promised and gave Jackson a kiss.
"Alright, just be careful." Jackson said softly, brushing hair out of her face.
"I will." She said softly and left with Allison and Scott.
Jackson took a seat by the desk which was in line with the door as Derek remained by a sleeping Stiles. He had clocked out as soon as Derek laid him down.
Jackson observed Derek as he watched Stiles, noting the slightly worried look written all over his face. "You care about him, don't you?"
Derek's head whipped to Jackson, a frown replacing the worry. "What do you mean?"
"I saw that look. You clearly care about him. And the pack can pick up on it, too. But is that care stemming from friendship or is there something more fuelling it? We all know it's the latter."
Derek watched Jackson, quiet for a few moments. "Is it that obvious?" He finally spoke.
Jackson nodded. "Only because we know you. You should go for it. Even if nothing happens, it would be good to get it off your chest."
