And so I had a late arrival ,

Newt, silently guided me to where i'd be sleeping for the night or probably for the rest of my time spent here, in the glade. My mind busied itself by replaying the conversation we, as in the keepers and me and the brunette boy, had at the gathering over and over. Not only was the gathering occupying my mind but the odd conversation I had with the brown haired boy earlier. Just before the meeting.

As I watched the stars in the dark sky  my feet fell in a trance, moving towards only God knows where. I couldn't wrap my head around the fact he knew my name. How was that possible? What makes us different than everyone else? And to be honest, I wasn't sure I wanted to be different.

I glanced at Newt who was walking a few feet a head of me. Could he help? Maybe he would know what to do? Or why the other boy knew my name. Surely, Newt would be smart enough to figure it out. The blonde seemed like the knowledgeable type.

At this point I was battling against myself. Should I ask Newt? No. Yes. No. Yes. No. Maybe?

What's the worst that could happen? Ok, so, there are a lot of things that could go wrong. He might get the wrong idea about us and next thing you'll know, we are locked in a cage, being interrogated by a very scary Alby. On a second thought, i'd rather live to see the sunrise-

"What's on your mind, greenie?" Newt stopped in his tracks, turning around on his heel with both arms crossed over his lazily buttoned blouse. He gave me a 'I felt you staring' kind of look.

I stopped walking by now, placing one foot behind my cafe while my right hand wrapped around the front of my body, holding my opposite arm. To say the least, I looked awkward and stood awkwardly as Newt stared me down.

"Nothing." I said as casually as possible.

Newts eyebrow raised. "Nothin?" He asked. "You've been bloody staring at me for a more than five minutes now. Go on. Ask." He proceeded to gesture a hand as of my question could be placed onto his rough palm.

My lips folded. "Ask what?" I was playing dumb, I dropped my hand and stood on my two feet comfortably before looking down at the floor, I didn't dare to look up, knowing that If I did, I would no longer be able to keep my composure together. After ten seconds of quietness passes by I act on the behalf of the curious blonde and moved on from the conversation by literally moving away from Newt. "I don't know what you are talking about." I told him, lying right through my teeth.
