Outside the museum, Russell and Denny were waiting in Bumblebee in hsi vehicle form, as well as some press people and a couple police officers. Then, the gang stepped out, the artifact in a box and the ghost soldier tied up and restrained as they brought him out.
"Mystery Inc., do you have any idea who it is under that soldier outfit?" A reporter asks
"Well, like, we have a couple theories." Shaggy said
"You see, at first, we thought it was the museum's curator, but we checked the security footage and clocking in logs and realized he wasn't in the building during any of the ghost's attacks, or even anywhere near it." Velma stated. "We burrowed some of his house's security footage with his permission of course to verify it and he was eliminated when he was at his home at the time of the attack."
"We also knew that the ghost had to be someone who seemed to have interest in the artifact that he was after, so that took the janitor and security guard that got scared off out of the list of suspects." Fred added
Daphne nodded.
"That only left two people on the list." Daphne stated
Daphne took the ghost's mask off to reveal.......
"Officer Steven Luchenbill." Daphne comments. "Only guard that wasn't scared off by the ghost."
Steven grumbled a little.
"However, Mr. Luchenbill here isn't exactly who he says he is." Velma stated
"RHuh?" Scooby comments, tilting his head
"What do you ever mean by that?" A British reporter asked
"Yeah Velma." Shaggy comments. "What do you mean buy that little comment?"
"You see, 'Steven Luchenbill' isn't even a real person." Velma stated. "When we had split up during the final chase scene, I came across some background checks. Mr. Luchenbill's got no prior documentation in any world government, and had an odd amount of interest in the artifact for someone who simply said he wanted to guard it."
Scooby and Shaggy looked at each other and then back at Velma.
"So, I sent Russell an email with a photo copy of his employee records." Velma said. "Russell?"
Russell reached into his bag and pulled out a few sheets of paper and walked up to Velma.
"I had him run a check on a set collection of people's handwriting who had been in this city." Velma stated as Russell handed her the papers. "And I found an identical match. Even down to how the S and Ls are written."
"Then, like, who is it?" Shaggy asked
"Reah." Scooby comments, just as confused. "RWho?"
"You see, guys, 'Officer Luchenbill' is none other than...." Velma starts
Fred puleld 'Luchenbill' down a little.
"Nononono! WAIT-" Luchenbill starts
Russell grabbed the back of 'Luchenbill''s neck and pulled it off, as it was also a mask, and revealing......
"Joseph Chang?!??!?!?!!!??!!!???" Daphne, Scooby, Denny, and Shaggy all questioned
"Indeed." Velma said. "I first had my suspicions about 'Luchenbill' when I found an identical copy of his face as a mask the same time I found his background check file. I just needed to send a photo copy of the file to someone I knew had an access to a way to match up handwriting methods since we were tied up with the stuff here at the museum."
"I get it." Denny comments. "He posed as Officer Luchenbill when he needed to throw people off of his trail."
"And then he, like, would try to scare all of the museum staff off posing as the ghost." Shaggy commented further
