Unfortunately, you couldn't rush to her raid because Kars stupid underlings started to gather around you. Though, that problem was about to be solved as von Strohheim showed up with his ultra-violet laser to destroy the vampires. Now, this may sound ideal, like if everything went perfectly and you and JoJo and you just had to blow the final punch at the only real enemy left.
If only things were that easy. "I can't believe it. How can he still cause me so many problems even after his death?" You complained to Speedwagon as you stood with him and Smokey at the side. You couldn't cross the field. That laser the Germans had there was basically concentrated sunlight, and you were also somewhat of a vampire. You wouldn't stand a chance.
All you could do was watch Elisabeth's life hang by a single thread. Once again, you had no choice but to wait and let the Joestar do his thing.
And then there was another thing, JoJo still didn't know that this woman was his own mother.
You almost didn't dare to watch the fight between the two of them. But the moment you couldn't stop yourself from looking was when you heard a body fall to the ground, only to be pierced by the sharp rocks beneath.
"Oh, look! Kars has fallen on the crystal spikes!" Stroheim exclaimed with glee. He laughed out loud. "He's finally dead!"
You started noticing a red glow on his arm. That must be the spot where JoJo had hit him. It wouldn't be long before the hamon spread all over his body. You continued to push your way in front of the German soldiers, ignoring Speedwagon's shouts that you should stay in the back.
You had a bad feeling, and you couldn't figure out why. He was lying here in front of you, completely done for. There was no way he could recover from this. "Wait a second, Strohheim," your voice rang out as you stepped in front of him and stopped him from taking another step forward. He just had proudly announced that they were going to give him the final coup de grace, but you just needed to see it with your own eyes first. "I need to take another look at him. Just to make sure."
The German sighed. "What's the big deal? Can't you see how he's lying pathetically on the floor?" he uttered, annoyed. "Step aside before you burn yourself, little one."
The laughter of his soldiers rumbled in the background for a few seconds at his joke. You turned your head towards them and smiled broadly, but the aura you gave off was anything but friendly. "No worries! As long as I have you strong soldiers, I'm sure nothing will happen to me," you exclaimed cheerfully before your face turned serious. "You don't mind, do you?"
Strohheim could feel the air around him thicken the longer your eyes remained glued to his form. He noticed it because it was getting harder to breathe in, but he couldn't be running out of oxygen in the fresh air, could he? "Just hurry up!" he shouted out, waving his hand to indicate that you can move.
You took one step at a time, feeling the sweat running down the back of your neck with each one. You were probably just being paranoid, but you wanted to calm your own nerves before this whole situation turned drastically in the other direction. You watched him for a few seconds. His face was glued to the ground, and crystal spikes peeked out through his body, stained with his blood.
