"Are you sure you are doing alright there Pookie?" Sean asked for the fourth time since they started heading to the Blackbourne mansion. "You look like you're about to throw up. When did you get such severe motion sickness?"

"I'll be fine Doc," Wendy whispered as talking was difficult to do without feeling like her gut was going to force everything out of it. "Sooner we get there the better."

"We will be there soon," Owen stated as he focused on the road.

The rest of the drive was done in silence and before she knew it she felt herself being lifted gently out of the car. She must have dozed off sometime during the ride. The scent of ocean told her that Silas was the one carrying her. She snuggled into his hold even more as his comfort soothed her frayed nerves.

Silas was concerned about how light she weighed and how pale she looked. "Hey Doc, I think you might need to give her a check-up sooner rather than later," he muttered as he entered their home. Wendy was going in and out of her sleepy state, not fully catching what was transpiring around her.

"Follow Gabe to get her situated while I go retrieve my bag. She was having severe motion sickness in the car. What do you think could have caused it?" Sean said as he followed behind the group entering the home while the others had bags of groceries in hand.

"I don't know but let's just get our girl comfortable and better before we find out what the hell exactly is going on," Nathan grumbled as he departed towards the kitchen to drop off his portion of bags.

Silas followed Gabe to the room situated at the end of a hallway before entering the room. It was a beautifully decorated room with their girl in mind. A king-size bed was positioned in the middle back of the room that had multiple pillows, a big fluffy dark purple comforter, and a long dresser situated to the right of the room. Two doors lead to a walk-in closet and the other a bathroom fully stocked with different supplies. On the other side of the bed was a 50-inch flat-screen TV mounted on a wall with a medium-sized entertainment stand with a built-in electric fireplace. The fireplace could be set to blue, green, and purple flames mode containing her favorite cool colors.

Gabe pulled back the comforter then left to the walk-in closet to see what he had left in there. Silas carefully placed Wendy in bed and then took a step back. Peering down at the only girl who truly understood and accepted their group to now being rescued from a shitty guy had him worried about what her life experience had been like in the time they'd been apart.

"Not to fret there, Silas. She's home again and we will do everything in our power to help her with whatever she may need. Now, go downstairs with the others while I give our girl a check-up before I let her rest," Sean said as he entered the room. Silas nodded, then after giving her one more look, he turned and left the room, shutting the door behind him so no one would disturb them.

"Wake up, Wendy," Sean whispered as he felt her pulse while looking at his watch. "I need to get an accurate reading and I can't with you napping."

"So bossy," she pouted as she forced herself to not fall back asleep. "No like."

Sean smiled, "I'm sorry but after this check-up and you eat you can go back to sleep and sleep as long as you want, deal?"

"Fine," she pouted as she sat up then groaned at the dizziness that consumed her.

"Hmm, how are you feeling currently?"

"Dizzy," she admitted, "sick."

"And when did you last eat or drink something?" he asked as he wrapped the blood pressure cuff around her arm. "This will get tight."

"I know," she mumbled. "Um, before I left to go food shopping, I had a couple of bites of spaghetti and some tea."

"Only a couple of bites?" Sean frowned, "is there a reason for that? You need more in your tummy. I don't want you wasting away now that we have you back."

"Wasn't hungry," she mumbled.

"Your blood pressure is too high, I don't like it," he frowned as he removed it. "We need to get it lower. I'd rather not spend your first few days of being with us stuck in the hospital if I can prevent it. How long have you been feeling this way, Wendy? I need you to be completely honest with me now. Please."

"A while," she shrugged. "I couldn't tell you an exact number of days."

"Weeks?" Sean pressed, "Months?"

"Probably a couple of months now," she shrugged.

"Did you feel better after you ate a little in the car?"

"Tiny bit but still want to throw up."

"Try this," Sean pulled a green peppermint and a red peppermint out of his pocket. "See if this will help. I may need to put you on some medication to help lower it for a bit."

"Um.....Doctor Sean. I...I'm not sure if I can take any medication," she mumbled as she unwrapped the green peppermint.

"Why is that?" Sean asked with a perplexed face. There are only a few reasons a person wouldn't be able to take medicine.

"Um," she cleared her throat and started picking at the comforter in her lap before picking up a pillow and placing it in her lap to toy with. "WoulditbesafetotakeifIwaspregnant?" she blurted out as tears filled her eyes.

"Come again?" Sean asked as his eyes widened. She looked away as he inhaled sharply, "Wendy, are you...are you certain?" She nodded while still refusing to look at him. He cupped her chin and turned her to face him. "How far along?"
