RIGA, LATVIA, 2024 - HOURS LATER 
Ahead, the trio of Bucky, Sam, and Avery has severed ties with Lemar and John. Avery vehemently refused to continue the pursuit of Karli, citing her brother's perceived incompetence.  
"Ave is stationed in the stairwell, awaiting our signal," Bucky declares to Sam. Both are now clad in their gear, striding purposefully towards Karli, who has agreed to meet them sans John and any potential interruptions. 
"I'm hoping we won't need a signal," Sam remarks to Bucky, looking ahead. He spots Karli on a balcony, the stairs ascending to his left. 
"Nice to see you found the location, Sam," Karli calls out, leaning over the balcony. Her confidence has resurged after their earlier altercation. 
"Anything of interest, Carter? The guys have located Karli," Avery vocalizes, her earpiece linking her to Sharon and the team. Sharon, still stationed in Madripoor, has agreed to assist by monitoring with satellites. 
"No sign of Zemo," Sharon reports, implying that he may remain elusive for an extended period. Avery merely shrugs, indifferent to that particular implication, as she leans against the railing. Her eyes track the door below. "I do have eyes on others nearing the location, hold on..." Carter continues, prompting Avery to roll her eyes, but she complies with Sharon's request and waits. 
"Okay, Karli, this ends now," Sam declares to the younger woman as he approaches her on the balcony, while Bucky remains below, vigilant. 
"I'm not doing this to hurt any of you," she attempts to reason. 
"Bucky, Carter reports a number of them closing in," Avery speaks into the comms, indicating an impending arrival of more Flag Smashers. Bucky remains silent, but his jaw clenches in response. 
"Where are the Walkers?" Karli suddenly inquires, scanning the courtyard they occupy. "You expect me to believe Avery isn't nearby?" She eyes Sam, whose gaze shifts downward to Bucky. 
"Avery, there's another two heading your way. If I were to hazard a guess, it's your brother and Hoskins," Sharon swiftly informs Avery. She grips the railing upon receiving this news, letting out a deep sigh. 
"This is the final warning I'm giving him to stay out of this. Alright, thanks, Sharon. I've got it under control," Avery asserts, pressing the earpiece to shut off communication on her end with Carter. 
"Wilson, we've got unwelcome guests. John is barging in with Lemar... Again," Avery exhales into Sam's earpiece. He pauses, leaving Karli waiting for a response to her inquiry. Instead, his gaze shifts to Barnes. "It's Walker," he declares. 
John and Lemar burst through the door beneath the stairwell, both armed with weapons, and John brandishing the shield. Avery leans over the railing to look down. "John! I told you we've got this handled. You're only going to make things worse!" Her voice resonates through the room, capturing their attention as they glance upward. The men exchange a brief look before Lemar gives a curt nod. 
"I'm heading up," he announces, ascending the stairs and swiftly passing Avery, earning a disapproving glare from the younger Walker. 
"Ave, this goes beyond making things worse! Karli needs to be stopped," John persists in their disagreement, following suit and climbing the stairs. 
"Yes, that's precisely what we're trying to do here!" Avery argues, stepping down a few stairs to meet him in the middle. "Fine, I'm following Lemar. Give me your gun." She reluctantly goes along with this temporary alliance, unholstering his spare pistol strapped to his side before storming back up the stairs, leaving him behind. He looks down to his side, her swiftness too quick to halt.
