Jane's Point Of View:

This morning I got a call from my ex military commander asking me to come back for a a secret assignment. I have to leave tonight. I don't know how tell Maura. I already told Korsak, Frost, Cavannagh, and my family except Maura and Sophia.

I was on my way down to Maura's office and decided that I couldn't hide it any longer. When I reached her office, Maura was finishing up paperwork.
"Hey sweetie." she said smiling
"Hi."
"What's wrong?"
"I got a call from my commander."
"Oh." she said speechless
"I have to go back to the military...I leave tonight." I said nervous of the outcome.
"You weren't going to tell me?" She asked angry
"I just found out."
"Am I crazy, or did you say it was a great idea to have another baby?"
"You can do what you want to do, but I can't do what I want to do unless I have your permission?!" I said raising my voice.
"You know what...fine but for the record, you are the one leaving!!" She yelled as I walked out. When I got into the elevator, I took my badge and threw it at the elevator wall. I walked to Cavannagh's office and turned in my gun and badge. I drove home and started to pack my stuff. When Maura came home, I heard her coming closer to the bedroom. She shut the door and I just stared at her. She walked up to me and gave me a long passionate kiss.

"I'm sorry that I yelled at you earlier. I am just scared that I will loose you out there." Maura said
"I promise I will be careful. It is only for a few months and then I am officially free." I said
"Jane...I'm...I'm pregnant." my jaw dropped and I looked at her in shock.
"It worked? It worked!" I said suddenly really excited.
"I was gonna tell you tonight.I found out yesterday." I gave her a long and passionate kiss.
"I will call and Skype everyday."
"Promise?"
"I promise."
"I don't want you to go." she said starting to cry. I held her on my arms and kissed her head.

"I have to go. But it will only be about five months." I said
"Only. I can hardly stay away from you at work. I love being around you. I love being able to touch you." she said wiping the tears. Then I heard the car honk.
"That's me." I said grabbing my bag. Before I left the room, I got on my knees so I was face level with Maura's stomach and Maura ran her fingers through my hair.
"Hey little baby. This is your mommy speaking. I want you to know I love you and I will be back before you get here. Take care of your mommy. She needs you." I said

I walked into the living room and explained everything to Sophia.
"Give me a hug before I leave." I said. Sophia ran up to me and gave me one last hug. I gave Maura a kiss and as I put my hands on her stomach. I walked out the door with one more wave.

Maura's Point Of View:

After Jane left, I collapsed on my knees and cried.
"Mommy, don't cry...mama will be back." Sophia said as she came up and gave me a nice warming hug.
"I love you Sophia." I said as I held her tight in my arms.
"Mommy...I can't breath." she said before I lightened my grip.

I tucked Sophia in bed, then I headed to bed myself feeling tired and weak. In the middle of the night, I felt I little tap on my shoulder. I opened my eyes to see Sophia standing there holding the Teddy Bear Jane got her when she was just born.
"What's wrong baby?" I asked
"I miss mama." she said tears swelling in her eyes.
"Aww come here." I said as I embarrassed her in a hug. I lifted her into the bed and we cuddled together. After about five minutes we where both asleep holding each other tight.
