Troye ♕
I moved to California two years ago. Everything was going great, I had gotten a job the same week I moved to America and the pay was pretty amazing. That was before my boss tried to "get with me." First off, she was 35 years old while I was only 21. And two, SHE WAS A WOMAN. With my platform converse shoes on everyday, I don't understand how anyone could POSSIBLY get the impression that I was straight (not that I support gender norms, but that's what most people would believe!). But anyways, when I tried to explain to her that this was in no absolute way a good idea, she kept on crossing the line. So, after like 20 minutes of one-sided (awkward) sexual talk, I finally pushed her off... LITERALLY. Everything went basically downhill from there: I was fired within two minutes and my car was "coincidentally" towed out of the parking lot the same day.
All of this was probably about six months ago. To this day, I still haven't gotten another job and I'm running dangerously low on my bank account. Oh, and did I mention that the lady who fired me was the exexcutive designer for Saint Laurent. She MADE SURE I didn't get a chance at another job by spreading rumors to her connections about me. I probably only have enough money to live in California for 3 weeks and a one-way plane ticket back to Perth, Australia.
Thinking about all of this in a small coffee shop begins to start stressing me out, so I quickly snap out of my daze and decide to throw away my cup and head to my apartment. I look down at my shoes as I walk to the trash can to discard of my cup when suddenly, I bump into a man with light brown hair and beautiful green eyes that were staring intensely at me.

I was already late to the office when suddenly, some klutz thought it was a good idea to bump into me, resulting in half my coffee falling to the ground and the other half on my designer coat jacket. I immediately looked up to see the culprit of this mess when my eyes fell upon a beautiful boy with sapphire eyes.
"Uhhh... I'm s-so sorry sir! Ma-maybe I c-could..." A jumbled mess of words spilled out of his mouth before I put my hand up to stop him.
I flashed a genuine, (yet sexy) smile at him and chuckled, "It's fine, really. You should just work on talking with more confidence."
The beautiful blue-eyes boy looked up at me again and giggled the cutest giggle and replied, "I truly am sorry, maybe I could buy you a coffee to make up for my clumsiness." He bit the side of his lip nervously as I raised my eyebrow.
"Well, I'm already late to my office. What's a few minutes gonna do anyway, eh?" I smiled as I sat down in a booth while he went to get us both some black coffee. He came back with two cups and slid mine across the table while sitting down at the same time.
"Oh, and don't feel obligated to stay until you're finished your coffee. Leave anytime you want, I don't want to be keeping you from your job." The blue-eyed boy said in his thick foreign accent, mostly out of courtesy.
"No, no. It's fine. I work for a big company. They probably have people catching me up on my work right now. Anyway, my name's Connor, and you are?"
"Oh, hello Connor," He giggled again, "My name's Troye. I can't believe I didn't introduce myself at all, especially after ruining your coat and buying you coffee."
Mesmerized by his perfect smile and accent, I ask him, "So where are you from, it's pretty obvious it's not from around here."
"Oh, yeah I'm from Australia. But I was born in South Africa, so I do have a bit of a mixed accent. I know, it's weird, but whatever..." Troye said with his face leaning on one hand and the other stirring his coffee. Again, I find myself mesmerized. How can he possibly be self conscious about his accent? IT WAS FREAKING HOT!!!
"Well I think it's cute." At this comment, his eyes widened, and I knew exactly what he was thinking. "And yes, I'm gay."
At this point, Troye was as red as a rose, so I prayed to God that he wasn't some sort of homophobe. But again, he regained his composure and said, "Cool, so am I."

You should have seen the look on Connor's face. It was somewhat surprised and amused... And maybe even glad.
"Well, Troye, what made you move to America?" He asked, stirring his black coffee while looking at me.
"Well, I guess I just wanted to have a life of my own. All my life, I had been cradled by my parents. They loved me so much that they spoiled my ass rotten. If I wanted something, all I had to do was ask."
A puzzled look overtook Connor's face, "Why would you leave if your life was so perfect in Australia? I mean, sitting around all day, doing nothing, sounds like the life everyone dreams of."
I sighed, "Not if that's what you're taught for your entire existence. You see, humans have the natural instinct to go after something they aren't accustomed to. This is usually danger, like going on a roller coaster ride, or it could simply be a late-night hook up at the club. Both release the same amount of endorphins. Yeah, I was in the middle of earning my masters in psychology. Anyway, don't get me wrong, I love my family, but they just weren't giving me the space to thrive to my greatest potential. And plus, I was curious. I read so many stories about people paving their own road in their life, and becoming famous whether it would be in the field of music, politics, medicine, anything you can name, I probably read!"

Again, this boy hasn't failed to infatuated me with his obsessive interest in everything and his extensive background knowledge in the field of psychology. "So, are things going well in the life of Troye?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
At this question, Troye's shoulders slumped a little; his usually confident persona now simmering down. He lets out a sigh, looking back down at his coffee. "They were for the first year and a half, but long story short, I offended the executive designer of Saint Laurent and was dropped from my amazing job as a model/fashion consultant and now, I only have enough money to stay in America for 3 weeks. If I don't find a job before then, then I'll be moving back to Perth, Australia."
While my heart plummeted 10 feet into the ground, I looked at my watch and realized that I was over 1 hour late for work. Quickly, I searched my pockets for my business card. "Oh god, I'm really late! Here," I said handing it to Troye, "Call in if you need a job offer. I'll have you covered." I got up and walked away, but looked back one last time to see his reaction. It was full of shock and fucking priceless. So I sent a cheeky wink in his direction and walked out the door.

I looked at the card he handed me, while Connor turned and started to walk toward the exit of the coffee shop. On it read, "Saint Laurent, PARIS FRANCE." I quickly turned it he sleek black card it my hands and on the back with silver print, it wrote: Connor Franta, CEO of Saint Laurent. Call at 609-505-4321. Email at [email protected]. Quickly, I lifted my head to look at Connor in disbelief and all I caught was a glimpse of a sexy mischievous wink right before he walked out the door.
