Hanuel squirms at the hard glare Kai shoots at him across the table, Moh-wa eyeing him as well.
Kai leans closer, narrowing his eyes at him. "Who's your client," he demanded.
"Like I said I don't know-"
Kai slammed his hand on the table, creating a loud thud that echoed through the walls of the abandoned classroom.
"That isn't the answer I wanted," Kai calmly, leaning threateningly closer to the poor boy-fists ready.
"Like I said I don't know! They only sent me an email promising a lot of money in exchange of blackmailing Choi Soobin!" Hanuel cried, eyes shifting from Kai to Moh-wa in a rather pitiful manner.
The two friends briefly glanced at each other before Moh-wa spoke, "You're not the type to trust anyone so easily Han. And I know for a fact that you live a comfortable lifestyle to never be desparate with money— unless daddy hasn't sent you your share for a few weeks," she says the last line with a hint of mockery and malice. "Hasn't he?"
Hanuel glared venomously at her. "Shut up Jung."
He leaned forwards, an attempt to grab her when Kai blocks Moh-wa from his line of sight, giving him a hard glare.
"Answer the question," Huening ordered, his voice sounded so rude could that even he, himself was surprised.
Kai had never imagined he'd be angry or rude to a person, frankly that wasn't something he was known for. Being mean was Moh-wa's specialty to be honest, and one of the things he'd learned as he grew up was that everyone deserved kindness. Even if they were cruel to you, always choose to be kind and considerate.
This time however, Kai realized that not all people deserve such kindness and consideration in certain situations.
Like right now.
"I don't know who they are!" Hanuel cried, frustration evident in his voice.
Kai was not convinced and raised an eyebrow, "Oh really?" the young boy fishes out a physical photo from his pocket, Kai dropped it onto the table and Hanuel took a small glance before bringing his gaze back to Huening. "This was taken during the time Choi Soobin was held victim to blackmailing," he added and stared into Hanuel's eyes.
"Mind telling us who this is?" Kai asked, tapping his index finger at the photo of a silhouette's back turned against the camera.
The black haired male took a quick glance, without a second he looked away. "Should I?"
"You should," Mohwa spoke, her arms crossed; her gaze sharp like a knife. "Or consider yourself expelled for blackmailing."
"From what I heard I was only held into a week of suspension, which had already passed two days ago."
"Oh we're not talking about that," Kai says, leaning closer, elbows rested on the table and fibgers laced together. His eyes bore into Hanuel's with an unknown bloodlust.
"You do know how money runs a school, much less a private university like CYSM," Kai starts, and Hanuel wasn't sure if he was seeing things but he was sure the eyes of the male in front of him turned red a second ago. "Right?"
"And isn't your dad a CFO at a huge gaming company?" the young Huening asked again, but with the tone he used. Hanuel wasn't sure if he was actually asking, "Oh! And isn't he one of the shareholders of the school? Hm, you live quite a good life, you don't even have to worry about your grades with your dad on the board. Maybe that's why you got such a short punishment for blackmailing."
