Chapter 1: The beginning ━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Charlotte is seen sitting on her bed crossed legged reading a book, hearing her 'father' Noah Stilinski leaving after getting a call from work, her twin brother Stiles following not far behind probably going to drag his best friend Scott McCall into whatever the hell is happening
She scoffs at her brother "Idiot" she mumbles
"Hey!" Stiles exclaims only earning a shrug in response
After a few minutes a knock is heard on the girl's window causing her to snap her head towards it, putting her book down and opening the window seeing her older brother in anything but blood Derek Hale
"Der-bear?" she questions with a smile on her face which is a rare sight to see
"Hey Char" Derek states smiling at his sister who launches herself at him hugging him tightly
He chuckles picking the girl up spinning her around causing her to laugh, before her finally puts her down both still having smiles on their faces
"What are you doing in town?" she questions before seeing the look and his face and her smile drops "Who's dead?" she asks
"Char..." the Hale man trails off
"Who's dead?" she asks sternly crossing her arms
"Laura, Laura's dead" he mutters
Hearing that Charlotte stiffens snapping her head to her older sister, who just gives her a sad smile, standing up walking to her baby sister sitting next to her and pulling the girl into her arms, who relaxes but a tear still falls down the girls face.
A smell of pain, guilt and regret fills the girl's nose and she looks at Peter whose hands were shaking slightly and he was just staring at his lap. The girl narrows her eyes at him, before glancing up at Laura who reaches over grabbing her uncle's hand squeezing it in reassurance, he looks at his niece with tears in his eyes, who just smiles back at him softly.
Charlotte stumbles in shock at that, her big sister, her best friend, one of the only people she could actually trust and be herself around, the girl who alongside their mother taught her how to do her hair and makeup, the girl she would dance around singing one direction songs with, the girl she would go on late night drives with, the person Charlotte and Derek would watch the sun rise on the beach with, the girl who held her when she cried and supported her no matter what was dead.
A lone tear falls down the girl cheek before she wipes it off her face becoming cold and emotionless "Who killed her?" she asks with no emotion in her voice
Derek looks at the girl worriedly, knowing this is what she does when she's upset, she'll push it away and continue doing so before it all crashes down on her at once and she has a breakdown "I don't know but i'm going to find out" he states firmly
