Toothless and Dusk take off and although Dusk is not able to fly super fast. He seems determined to try and do everything better than Toothless. As he tries to fly higher than Toothless, they decide race each other above the clouds which seems to be somewhat of a fascination to him. Dusk continually flies through the clouds nipping the ones he passes by. Toothless follows him and weaves around the little dragon. After nipping another cloud Dusk decides to go higher and gets to a certain point where he is high above the clouds but seems uncertain at how to get down lower. Toothless makes a little noise and this gets Dusk's attention. Toothless angles his body in an aerodynamic way and dives Dusk still unsure of what to do just stares. Toothless realizes quite quickly that Dusk did not follow him, so Toothless does a quick turn around and flies up and past Dusk. Then he roars to make sure Dusk can see him. Once Dusk looked up, Toothless again showed Dusk how to dive and by the time Toothless started diving past where Dusk was, Dusk had already started to dive. However Dusk had just learned to dive,  unfortunately he had not seen how Toothless had stopped so he ended up plummeting into the ocean. Toothless had heard the splash and he decided to also plummet. He then emerged from the water with a soaked Dusk in his claws and looks down at him while giving him a smile. Toothless found a nearby sea stack and landed on it after laying the amber eyed nightfury down. Dusk shook of the water on him getting Toothless a little extra wet, but Toothless didn't seem to mind and he shook it off. Dusk got really excited and his whole body started to wiggle as he looked out and saw a nearby island. Dusk took off and Toothless followed him closely. They had found a very high mountain with some snow on top of it. Dusk had never seen snow before and excitedly flew right into a snow bank. Toothless found and oversized icicle and decided to scribble on the ground. Dusk thought that this looked cool and also started drawing in the snow but with a much smaller icicle. Dusk had gotten the icicle off of his tongue quite easily while Toothless had to use his fire breath to melt it so that his tongue could be free. Toothless then few high with Dusk and then dived and then stopped. Dusk followed however not all his attempts were successful. As one time he shot way past Toothless and Toothless had to retrieve him out of a sea. Another attempt Toothless had to save Dusk from hitting a sea stack that was nearby. Dusk at one point ended up in a tree, but he was able to get himself out of that pretty easily. When Dusk started getting the hang of it they started flying up high and diving to almost touching the sea's water. Toothless was even able to teach Dusk how to barrel roll and fire, but obviously couldn't work on accuracy. Whenever Dusk got tired Toothless allowed him to rest either on an island or on a sea stack, sometimes Toothless would carry him. For a good portion of the day both dragons lay sunning themselves on a sea stack this was because they had tired each other out and needed some rest. By the time they woke up they realized that it was way past sun down. So Toothless went to grab Dusk, but he popped up, jumped off the sea stack and flew. Toothless caught up to him and tried to grab him but Dusk was starting to use Toothless's flying tricks against him. Now even though Dusk was slightly more agile than Toothless. Toothless was more patient and new as soon as his wings tired out he would be an easy catch so they flew and flew and flew. The distance that they flew was so great that by the time Dusk needed a break. Toothless also needed a break. Toothless went to the shore of where they landed and caught some fish for him and Dusk. Unfortunately again as soon as Toothless went for Dusk he took off. Toothless started to have a strange feeling like something was watching them. Then all of a sudden Dusk halts in the air still flying but no longer flying away from Toothless. Toothless plans to use this opportunity to grab him until he sees it... A gigantic hole in the ocean. It was the biggest water fall and Dusk followed the perimeter of the waterfall looking back at Toothless half excited and half worried. Toothless himself wanted to go down into the waterfall however he also wanted to head back home so Hiccup wouldn't worry about them. Unfortunately, before Toothless could stop Dusk, he (Dusk) dived down into the hole. Toothless dived after Dusk and they were both greeted with a pleasant surprise of beautiful glowing crystals and even their scales started to glow a nice blue with waving lines going around their bodies.
