Florence nearly sneezes as Remus shifts open the hidden hatch above them in the tunnel they're in, dust falling down onto her.

"Sorry, we haven't gone this way in a while so it's a bit dusty," Remus whispers to her and steps down slightly to allow Florence to climb up the makeshift ladder first.

It's an old rickety set of thick wood sticks mostly just pressed into the dirt wall. If it weren't for Remus's confidence in traversing the tunnel- Florence would've left as soon as she stepped foot into the dark and ominous space. She trusts that they are heading to Honeydukes, but she would also just as easily believe he was leading her to a medieval dungeon.

"Do you lot make a habit of sneaking out often?" She remarks, shifting her foot on the first rung until her footing feels secure enough, and then pushing herself up to the next.

Remus helps her up and keeps an arm out to catch her just in case. "Only on the weekends," he murmurs back.

"Such model students... " She goes to reach for the next rung with her foot. It's too dark and she's beginning to get nervous with the way Remus is hovering over her like he expects her to fall.

She does nearly slip this time and Remus's arm wraps tightly around her side to keep her upright, but he lets go quickly once she balances again.

"Damned ladder..." She sighs quietly- very slowly and carefully stepping the rest of the way up.

Once she pokes her head through the hatch, Florence is greeted with the sight of about a hundred crates and boxes littering the Honeydukes storeroom. The smell of dozens of candies and chocolates wafts over her and she can hear the footfalls and muffled voices of people above her. They must be right underneath the store.

Quietly and quickly she climbs out of the tunnel and crouches behind a large crate. As soon as she does, Remus pops through the top of the tunnel hatch and quietly clambers up next to her with the ease of someone who'd done this a thousand times. He must not have been lying about his and his friend's weekend activities.

"Show off," She whispers, smiling slightly at the small smirk covering his face.

Truthfully, she's impressed by his uncanny stealth. They'd been successful in reaching the one-eyed hag statue completely unseen, mostly due to Remus's keen hearing and deliberate use of the castle's back hallways.

Only once had they almost gotten caught- but Remus was quick to duck behind an alcove, nearly dragging Florence to the ground in his rush to get her to hide fast enough. She was grateful she had good reflexes, or else they'd surely have a detention and she, a broken tailbone.

Besides that, it hadn't even felt like they were 'sneaking around'. Remus moved with all the calm of someone who was supposed to be there (or someone who was comfortable in their ability to traverse the halls in secret), and if it weren't for the rush in their steps, it would've felt to her like they were simply taking a stroll and not breaking the rules.
