Ashley POV
I paced in the living room of my brother's house with my phone which had the headline that George and Carmen had broken up. And they have declared on their Instagram pages that it was over. Matt and Sam looked as I walked around the room.
"Did he tell you when he'll be back?" Matt asked.
"Nope"
"Did he tell you that he's gonna break up with Carmen?"
"God, No"
"Did something happen between you two?" Sam asked eyeing me. I stopped and looked at her.
"ASHLEY KING did you-" Matt started.
"Jesus, NO!NO!. Nothing happened. How could you-" I huffed and sat on the couch.
"Maybe they are just on a break" I rambled. The couple looked at each other. Sam came and sat beside me.
"Ash, this is not about them. It's about why you are so stressed about it" she said. I wrapped a blanket around me.
"I don't know," I said softly.
"Ash, do you like George-"
"No Matt. Please. Please don't ask me that question"
"I like Uncle G," Chloe said. "Chloe sweetie. Don't call him that"
"But why?"
"Cause-" I stood up swiftly breathing heavily.
"I...I don't wanna answer it" I said.
"Ash, you always know what you want. Always. What is this?" Matt asked in a confused and worried tone. I looked at him.
"George is a great guy. I like him. Mum and Dad loved him. What is stopping you?" He asked placing his hands on my shoulders.
"I...I.." The doorbell rang. Sam walked towards it and opened it and she looked shocked at the person at the door. Matt walked towards her and he was also shocked.
"George, come on in" Matt invited when the shock washed over my face too.
"Is Ashley here, I tried-" he asked entering. "Uncle G" Chloe shouted and ran to hug him. "Hey sweetheart" he hugged her sitting down and noticing me.
"There you are," he said. "Why? What? What happened? Why do you need me?" I rambled. George looked at me confused while Matt gave me an embarrassing look.
"Because you are supposed to be testing my car for the next season. I thought Toto and James told you about it" he said.
"Yes. Wait. Is it today? What? How did I miss that?" I asked and looked at my phone and it was indeed today. I placed my hand on my head. I immediately collected my stuff swiftly.
George gave Matt a look. "She just had a lot of caffeine," Matt said.
"Wait, why are you driving Uncle G's car? Don't you have one for yourself? The Blue one?" Chloe asked.
"Because she is the reserve driver for Uncle G's team and soon will be teammates with me," George said. "Don't you?" he asked me. I again stopped and looked at him.
"Yeah...Yeah. Uncle George and Aunt Ash. That- We are gonna be.." I rambled more. Matt and Sam had the worst look on their faces when George was still pretty confused.
" Champions " Chloe shouted. "Yes. yes, we are" George said. I picked up my car keys.
"Who is driving?" I asked George. "If you want-"
"You are driving. Your car can stay here" I said throwing him the keys and walking outside swiftly.
