{A/N~yes they totally did the frickling of the frackling but I didn't go into it because I'm just not comfortable writing smut (sorry) so I may lead up to it/imply it but never really write it out.}
(Gerard's POV)
I sat on my bed in my underwear and shirt. Meet me at the cemetery. No games, no tricks. Frank's farewell message ran through my mind. I need to get facts straight. I needed to know why he came through the game, why he tried to get to me through Pete and why he couldn't remember...
I remembered a book I had read about demonic entities and possessions. It talked about how the brain was paused, except for basic functions such as mobility and speech.
I thought about how Pete had been acting. He knew how to get to my house pretty spot on as well as slightly mock Pete's mannerisms, but why did he act like that towards Patrick if, from what I could conclude from the experience, actually had access to some of Pete's memories?
This was too much to keep in my head. I leaned over the side of my bed and grabbed my backpack. Inside there was one nearly empty notebook that I opened to a fresh page and began writing as well as drawing what I knew.
(Frank's POV)
"You need to be more careful now!" Ray argued with me, "if they keep noting your absence from your assignment then they'll investigate for sure! That won't be good for you or your friend."
I rolled my eyes. "He doesn't scare me Ray! I'm not intimidated by his lousy ass threats."
"You will be when he follows through!" Ray yelled in frustration. "He's done it to me! And he sure as hell isn't going to give you a free pass! Especially after the shit you gave him!"
I waved him off, which only set him off worse.
"YOU HAVE NO IDEA BECAUSE YOUR HUMANITY HAS BEEN BRAINWASHED AWAY BY HELL" Ray stood and yelled. "CAN'T YOU SEE THAT YOU'RE ONLY GOING TO HURT YOURSELF AND THAT HUMAN!"
It pissed me off, but at the same time... "I'm sorry." I said.
"No..." Ray sighed, "Don't. It's just..." He pushed his hair back and it immediately popped back up. "Be careful."
"I will be man." I nodded. I had to remember how much he retained from being human. I had to remember his humanity.
Ray plopped back down to the ground. "You have no idea how much it will hurt..." He mumbled quietly, "Absolutely no idea..."
(Pete's POV)
I was really just laying in my bed with my eyes closed. One arm was across my chest while the other was out to my side, underneath Patrick as he slept cuddled close to me.
It's weird to have a chunk of your memory gone. Especially when you wake up to everyone freaking out over you. Patrick had been a nervous wreak. Brendon was lost for words, just continuing to ask if I was okay repeatedly. Gerard was quiet. He didn't really say anything. I felt like he was taking responsibility for whatever happened.
I wanted to say something to him, but he had left so quickly. Patrick had texted him something last night, but never gotten a reply. I didn't blame Gerard, I'm the one that brought out the game and offered to get his bag right before I blanked out. He was a good guy and a good friend, he should know I didn't blame anything on him. Neither did Patrick and neither had Brendon.
"Petey?.." Patrick mumbled in a tired voice, pulling me from my thoughts. I turned my head and smiled at his petname he used when it was only him and I.
"Yea 'Trick?.."
His eyes were still closed and sleep was still evident on his face. "Y'swear you're alright?.." He asked with sleep slurred words.
I leaned up to Patrick's forehead and kissed it. "Yes Patrick." I whispered, "Just sleep..."
The sun was already up with the day started, but it was summer. We had all the time in the world.
Patrick smiled slightly in his sleep before his face went blank with sleep again.
I closed my eyes, trying to think of my last memory before I blanked. I don't remember even seeing the cemetery, just being in the car with Gerard before it all faded.
I sighed. "I'm fine 'Trick...Promise."
(Gerard's POV)
Tonight. When tonight?
I looked at my bedside clock.5:44pm.
The day really didn't grow anymore eventful after Frank left. My phone had been silent (not that I could find it) the entire day. From what I could tell, no one was really hanging out with anyone today. I was a bit glad. I just wanted answers from Frank. It'd also be a bit awkward to explain how I had spent my night...
I sighed. Walking, it would take me maybe twenty minutes to get to the cemetery.
Now was as good a time as any. I grabbed my notebook and opened my window. "Back in no time." I said lowly to no one.
