Kurogiri smiled at him, the mist fading in and out, showing a teenage boy one second and the familiar mist villain the other. Aizawa smiled too, which was a rare sight to see.

"Hello, Izuku," he greeted.

Tears welled up in the greenette's eyes as his mind considered and reconsidered if this was actually reality and not just some stupid dream. But.. Kurogiri's smile seemed so genuine, so.. real that it was hard to think it wasn't reality.

He ran up to the villain, tackling him into a hug. Fortunately, he didn't knock him over.

"Where were you?!" he exclaimed, gripping onto the older male's shirt.

Kurogiri ruffled his hair, the hand actually feeling somewhat real compared to the normal mist going through his being. "Your homeroom teacher, Mr Aizawa, found a quirk user that could reverse my form back to what I used to look like before."

Izuku nodded, burying his head into the man's chest as tears continued to spill from his eyes. He tightened his grip, afraid to let go, afraid it was all a dream. It would be too painful to know that this whole situation wasn't true reality.

Shigaraki shook himself out of his still-like frame, absorbing what had happened. What was happening. He walked up to the mist villain slowly, still processing that he was actually here.

"You're.. you're back?" he asked, voice shaky with doubt.

Kurogiri nodded, patting Tomura's head gently. It was an old habit he used to do back when the blue-headed male was younger, back when All For One had made him the main caretaker of the boy. It seemed like it was still a habit today.

Without a word, Shigaraki joined the hug, making sure his wristbands were on before fulling wrapping his arms around the villain. "I'm.. I'm glad you're back.."

He smiled. "I'm glad I'm back too, Tomura."

Kaminari stood in the doorway, smiling at the scene before him. He was happy that Midoriya was happy, if that made any sense. It was like if Midoriya was upset, he'd emphasize and feel upset too.

He was happy that Midoriya had finally found that father-figure he had been telling the blonde about. He remembered how he used to ramble on about how Kurogiri used to make sure he ate enough or telling Tomura off for offering alcohol to the clearly underage teenager.

Good memories.

"You coming?"

Denki looked towards the voice, seeing a very tired Dabi standing a little distance away in the kitchen. He was holding a dark-purple mug, steam evaporating from the liquid inside.

"I can come in?" he asked, unsure.

In middle school, Kaminari was never invited to another's home, due to the lack of friends. People were always afraid of him because of his quirk, always too scared he was going to electrocute them from something as simple as touch.

So, Denki was never really told about the rules when going to other's homes. This was a new experience for him, if he was being honest.

"Yes. You've helped Izuku after all, just by being by his side." he explained, motioning for him to join the older male in the kitchen.

"Okay." he said, walking inside cheerfully as he put his bag down neatly beside the door.

He joined Dabi in the kitchen, resting against the island countertop as he watched the greenette mumble incoherent phrases. He couldn't help but smile again, feeling nothing but joy for his friend. Though, he did wonder who hurt Midoriya for him to become like this. So anxious.. so attached.. it was worrying for the blonde.

"Who's the new kid?"

A sudden voice behind him made him jump, almost knocking Dabi's mug out of his hands. He turned swiftly, seeing three new figures in the kitchen. Well, one certainly wasn't new. Toga stood next to Dabi, grabbing a mug from one of the top shelves in the cabinet above.

Kaminari examined the other two closely. One was a woman with long, shoulder-length auburn hair. She wore grey sunglasses, a hand on her hip as she looked the blonde up and down. Her clothes reflected those of a normal citizen; a white shirt, seashell pink cardigan and sky blue jeans.

The second was a man who wore a suit of grey and black. It was mostly black though, with grey vertical stripes on his chest going down his arms and legs. The top half of his face was grey while the bottom was black. He wore red wristbands with one consistent blue-green stripe.

Denki wondered why he didn't show his face, but buried his curiosity for now.

"I'm Denki Kaminari, Midoriya's friend in Class 1-A." he introduced.

They nodded. "Name's Magne. This is Twice."

Well, they don't seem to be talkers.

Later that night, Kaminari and Midoriya sat on the greenette's bed, bonding over flower meanings. Lately, Izuku had been getting quite interested in flowers and it was all thanks to Denki. He couldn't help but reminisce when they first met, the first day which started this whole obsession off.

Hey, dude. You alright? I saw you kicking the tree for a bit before zoning out here.

Why are you talking to me? Aren't I a 'villain'?

Well, I believe that you're a good person. I know you didn't want to attack us.

How do you know that?

You seemed kind of anxious to meet us. I could tell when you were standing in front of the class. I don't think blood-thirsty villains would be anxious to meet people they consider 'inferior'.

I-I guess.

What's that?

A purple zinnia flower. Did you know they originally bloomed in Mexico? Crazy, right? Aha!

Are you okay? Your face is kind of red.

He fiddled with the sleeves of Tomura's hoodie before sitting up properly. Fidgeting with the zinnia flower Denki had given to him days before, his eyes stared at the pretty black lightning bolt in his hair.

"Can a flower mean more than one thing?" he asked, curious.

Denki nodded excitedly. "Yeah! They aren't that rare, honestly. An example is an acacia flower. A rose or white one can mean 'secret' but a yellow one can mean 'elegance'."

Izuku smiled at him as he rambled on, tears pricking his eyes as a thought came to mind.

Maybe I finally have a chance at making a friend. A true friend.
