I was so embarrassed , he called me everything he shouldn't , i was hurt , though i shouldn't feel hurt , but i am hurt , though i didn't say anything , i wanted to but couldn't. From now on he'll just be a stranger to me and nothing more than that. Who is he even to tell me i am childish , it's not like i am going to change anything for him. I am going to confront him if he ever tries talking to me. How could a person be so mean , he literally scolded me like i was a kid. He himself asked me to marry him and signed that contract. I guess i made a big mistake by going for that stupid date , i shouldn't have showed up so this bitch wouldn't be my fiancé.
My thoughts got disturbed by hazel , "I am sorry serena whatever my brother said to you , i am going to tell mom about him , he behaved very rudely , i will confront him about it. Don't worry. I'll make sure he gets a nice beating from mom." She assured me. "No it's fine , you don't have to do that for me." Hazel and me have a great bond , noah seems nice too , and aunty uncle arethe sweetest but that bitch , he is totally different from anyone in this house. "No serena , please , as a sister i can do that for you and i have to. My brother's behavior was really bad , you must've felt really hurt that your fiancé is treating you badly." Isn't she the sweetest sister in-law. "Thanks hazel , but you don't need to tell aunt about it , she will be sad." She nodded and a knock was heard on the door. Noah popped his head inside the door frame and asked if he could enter , after seeking hazel's permission , he entered and closed the door behind him. "Hey serena , how are you now , i know that my devil brother treated you really badly and insulted you but i am sorry on his behalf , he is like a cold monster , sometimes he even behaves badly with me but i am his brother so can't do anything about it. Once agaian , i am sorry , he shouldn't have treated you like this." Oh , my sister and brother in-law are actual sweethearts , i moved forward and engulfed them both in a group hug. "It's fine you guys don't have to do anything , i appreciate your efforts very much but he is your brother too , you guys shouldn't behave badly with him for me. Thank you it means a lot." They hugged me tighter and after that we separated , noah went to his room to sleep while me and hazel jumped on the bed and dozed off.
Next morning , i woke up by a gentle shove on my shoulder , it was hazel. "Wakey-wakeyy! Time for breakfast." She smiled when i looked at her , she had already freshened up. "Good morning! What time is it?" I said waking up and pushing the covers down and getting up. "Good morning to you too and it's 9:45.a.m." I nodded at her reply and went to freshen up. I did my buissnes , took a quick 5min shower and changed into a bathrobe , brushed my teeth with the new spare toothbrush , washed my face made a messy bun and leftthe bathroom. This took me about 10 mins , as i entered inside the room , hazel have already made the bed , changed into a new outfit and her hair were tied in a neat ponytail. "Your clothes are kept here and here is my makeup bag and skincare essentials , you can use it , also there are some sneakers that i took out for you , get ready and come down , everything is waiting for you. And yes , one more thing , if you are searching for your phone , it's on the side table and is fully charged." Omg! Why is she so sweet , i am lucky to get a sister like her. I did everything that i needed to do and went downstairs. As i entered the kitchen , everyone was seated , everyone looked at me , even my so called fiancé looked atmy direction. Everyone wished good morning except him. I greeted all of them back and was about to sit next to hazel when aunty called my name , "Serena honey , you should sit with your fiancé." I froze at my tracks , why should i sit with the person who insulted me. "No aunty it's fine , me and hazel have a lot to catch up , i am marrying him anyways." I refused. "Oh no darling , you and hazel will get a lot of time together later , you should use this time to get to know each other better." She said in a motherly manner , i wanted to refuse but words didn't came out of me. I agreed and sat down beside him. Everyone seemed busy talking and no one was paying attention towards me and him , there was an eiry silence. "So , serena , what are your views on this marriage. Are you happy? I know we didn't gave you guys time to get comfortable with each other , but trust me , my son may seem intimidating but he is a nice guy." Uncle said proudly. "Yeah , sorry guys but i want a little time to settle in this relationship , as you may know , this is an arranged marriage , before we discussed this topic i was never close with him like i am with hazel and noah , we both always kept our distance and none of us even bothered to talk , i know i should give this a chance i am trying to but i need a little time to adjust." I said , that was what i felt at the moment. "That's good that you let us know your thoughts , i already see progress , i wish you both settle soon and live a happy life." He smiled and seemed really happy. Soon after breakfast ended , almost everyone seemed to be free except uncle and my fiancé. I was with hazel , noah and aunty. Aunty was discussing about event venue , she showed me a few really nice decor of the venue and some other stuff related to my wedding. The venue decor was indeed dreamy and beautiful , she even asked me what i would like to have on the wedding food menu. The time went by and we still selecting the food and the venue , about 1 hour later , we were done deciding the food , venue and along with some other stuff.
It was time for luch , everything was same as breakfast , i sat beside by my 'lovely fiancé' , we enjoyed lunch without speaking with each other. It was really fun , the silence between us only heightened our boundaries. The lunch ended and everyone was free , they all sat in the living room. And when i say everyone , i mean EVERYONE. They all decided to watch a movie and everyone went to the theatre room. We all were seated where we were seated before. As i remembered the earlier incident , instantly i shutted my mouth and silently watched the movie. Soon an action movie started playing. Everyone was enjoying. Even hazel and noah knew why i wasn't speaking , so they too remained silent. I didn't even glanced at him and proceeded to watch the movie. All three of us were enjoying the movie. Suddenly i felt an intense stare from the opposite side , i didn't wanted to turn my head but i did , a pair of brown eyes were staring intensely into my blue ones. I was shocked that why is he staring at me , after everything that he did , he still had the audacity to shamelessly stare at me. I looked away at an instant but i still felt the intensity of his gaze. I tried not to look at him i did succeed. Soon i forgot about him and started watching the movie again. The movie ended and everyone went back to the living room. After some time , a bell rang and the maid went to open the door , soon two familiar figure entered. It was mason and sarah. Everyone went to welcome them and hugged them except him , he sat there unbothered. Sarah came to me and got me in a bone crashing hug as she loosened her grip on me mason enveloped me into a tight hug. As he too loosened his grip on me and i turned towards the living room , my eyes went to alexander who was typing something on his laptop before was now looking at mason with a weird expression , it almost seemed like he is upset seeing him. I ignored him and moved forward to the couch. Everyone was talking. "Mason , you had a buissnes meeting right ?" Uncle asked. "Actually it got cancelled so i went to serena's firm to help sarah as i was free." He said looking at sarah. "Oh i see , have you guys finished all the work yet?" Uncle questioned. "Yes , there were some issues regarding a case , sarah wasn't able to understand some clauses so i went to help her. Our work was completed so i thought to visit your house today instead of tomorrow. I asked sarah if she could go and she agreed so here we are" Mason answered. "Ahh! You're a kind man. God bless you with more wealth than you already have." Aren't my in-laws absolutely kind , understanding and caring. Omg i am really lucky to have a family like them , but what about their son , what has gotten into him when he was born. "Thanks uncle" everyone was busy talking except one. The conversation ended and everyone went for the dinner.
The dinner was served and everyone took there seats. The dinner table had 8 seats , uncle sat on the head chair of the table and aunty sat beside uncle on the right side , on he left side sat alexander , i sat beside alexander. The seat beside me was empty. Hazel sat beside aunty on the right side , beside her was sarah. Mason came and sat next to me. Noah sat on the opposite chair to uncle and he sat between mason on his left and sarah on his right.
