VIVAAN:

We walked hand in hand to her flat. A girl opened the door and looked at us shocked.

But she recovered quickly and moved back letting us in.

"Finally you guys are together! Thank god!" She said exaggerated that made me chuckle.

"Who is she?" I asked looking at Nivi. "She is chandini. She looks after Bittu."

"You know how crazy she was for you jiju?" She said making Nivi's eyes wide.

Jiju? I like her already.

"Chandini, enough!" She said scowling.

"Check her cupboard." She whispered to me before running away.

"Bittu already ate and I also had my food. See you tomorrow." She yelled going out.

NIVEDITA:

"Silly girl." I said smiling when she ran away from me.

"What was that about?" Mittu asked amused.

"It's nothing. Come on."

I went to Bittu's room with Vivaan following me.

He was playing in his room with toy cars on the play mat.

Once he saw me he ran to me excited hugging me. "Mommy! You are early." He said grinning widely.

"Yes my dear. Did you eat well?" I asked brushing his hair back, the thick mop of black hair like his father's, that were falling on his forehead.

"Yes mom. You know my friend Nigam broke my scale today. That was my favourite scale." He said pouting.

I sat on the bed with him being in my arms while he spoke.

"Aww, why did he do that?"

"I broke his scale first." He said sheepishly. When he saw my narrowed eyes he hurriedly added "but he was irritating me mom."

We heard chuckles that diverted him. Mittu was leaning on the door, with his hands folded over his chest looking at us with a tender smile on his face.

He was just in his plain white shirt, his coat thrown away somewhere carelessly in the hall and tie that hung loose on his neck, shirt sleeves folded till mid arms. His hair was ruffled. He has a one day old beard on his firm jaws. He looked hootttt.

"Who is he mom?" Bittu asked looking in between me and Mittu.

I smiled at him. "He is your dad." I said nodding at him. His face glowed with happiness a big smile breaking out on his face.

"Daddy!" He said running to him. Mittu kneeled infront of him smiling. Bittu jumped on him excited while he caught him into a hug laughing.

It was so heartwarming to watch them meet. My eyes were full of unshed tears, so was his' as he looked at me.

"I missed you daddy!" Bittu mumbled nuzzling his face in his neck. "Don't leave me again please."

Vivaan looked at me with a pained face and pulled Bittu back a little, kissed his face without stopping and hugged him back. "I won't my dear. I am never going to leave you." He said his voice cracking.

It was too much to hear the longing and fear in that innocent voice. I closed my mouth with my hands broking down into never ending sobs.

He stood up, picking Bittu, he came and sat next to me. He pulled me to him hugging me with Vikram still in his arms.

I fisted his shirt buring my face into his torso. "I am sorry, I am so sorry." I whispered crying. His hold tightened on me, pulling me more closer. "Don't my love."
