"Enzo! Careful with that!" You call over to him and he nods as he moves one of the antique globes out of the way in the smaller common room.
There was a team of students from fifth to seventh year preparing the common room for the party. Slytherin parties were the best for a good time, with other houses frequently sneaking in. Everyone else was welcome really but the Gryffindors but after their loss today, you doubted any would be trying to sneak their way in anyway.
You watch as the other girls planning tonights party boss volunteers around, rearranging the common room to make space for the dance floor. In the smaller common room to the right of the stairs, you've sectioned off a quiet space so that people can sit in there and chat or relax quietly, separate from the the main dance floor.
Over in the other smaller common room at the other end of the main one so that people can play video games and beer pong in there too. You smile to yourself as you see the food floating down the stairs that Mattheo and Theo had 'procured' from the kitchens as they said. They had taken one look at the food that you girls had organised and decent it wasn't enough and had run off to the kitchen together.
They grin at you as the pizzas, burgers cakes and buffet fly to the table. Theo chewing a handful of sausage rolls as he walks, throwing others at Mattheo's mouth.
Draco snaps at anyone coming near the bar as he conjures it, arranging all the alcohol perfectly, watching over it with pride as he makes it look good. He waves his wand and smaller drinks tables appear in the other rooms too.
What would we do without magic? You think to yourself.
You run through your mental checklist for the party and look up to the DJ area where Blaise and Theo are now arguing. You shake your head and leave them to it as Enzo, ever the peace keeper of the group, moves over with Adrian Pucey, trying to calm the tensions between the two boys over who gets to DJ most of the party.
"I'll be right back, I've got to charm the doors before the party." You say and jerk your thumb over your shoulder and Adrian nods. You race up the common room stairs and slip out of the common room door. You wait for a moment as some older Ravenclaw students pass by and once they're gone you pull your wand out.
"Muffliato" You whisper as you point your wand at the door and the silencing spell covers the door before disappearing into it.
You cross your arms and grin at the door, knowing that this spell will stop any passersby hearing the loud music. You push open the door and call down to Theo who is standing by the music set up waiting for your signal.
"Try it now!"
A moment later you hear loud phonk music playing and you move back outside the door letting it close. As you stand in the corridor you grin again. Pure silence. All you can hear is the flickering of the candle flames and the sounds of peoples steps far away. As soon as you open the door though, you can hear the sound.
