Chapter 8

                                    

                                          
Bright, the light is too bright. I woke up in a white hospital room, and the smell of disinfectant and pills was floating through the air. 
Did she bought me here? Where is winter?
While I was still trying to figure out how I got here, I saw a piece of paper on my nightstand. As I opened it, the scribble said
"Hi Rina, I will be right back. I went to get you something to eat. He is dead, I already informed Irene, "
-Winter-
As I close the piece of paper, I look out on the window,thinking how I thought Winter would be weak, and I would be the one who bandage her. I was wrong, very wrong. 
She is not the girl I first met. I sometimes remember how innocent and young she was when I first met her. After I introduced her into this dark place, she changed..
The night when she made her first kill, she was so...terrified..
"Just push the knife inside him with force. Don't hesitate, Minjeong. People like him don't deserve to live. Kill him ,Minjeong. "
Karina said in a cold and demanding tone
"But.." Minjeong tried to say, but Karina cut her off by putting her hand on top of Winter's and slowly pushing the knife.
Winter saw how his soul left his body.
She killed someone.
"Congratulations!" Karina looked at Minjeong proudly, but inside, she felt discusted with herself for taking the younger girl's innocence.
Minjeong was freezed in place. Tears were streaming down her cheeks.
The only things heard in the room were her sobings and Karina's voice.
"Now that you made your first kill, you have to choose your assasin name," 
"I..dont..want..to be an...assasin.." Minjeong said between sobs
"There is no going back from now. Choose,"
Karina demanded her
"... Winter.." said the new assasin
"Well, welcome to Kwangya, Winter!" Karina said, liking how the girl's name rolled smooth on her tongue.
As Karina remembered that night  tears started streaming down her cheeks. Not noticing Winter came back and was just looking at her confused.
After some time, Karina notices her. She fast wiped her tears, and out of panick, she just rambled that is nothing, and that something might flew in her eye and that she was good
"You are rambling like a little child, 
"Sorry.." Karina said, feeling guilty
The room fell silent, and the awkward silence was felt by both girls, so Winter decided to break it.
"Are you hungry? I bought Tonkatsu, hope you like it," said Winter, prodly showing Karina the bag.
"Actually, it's my favorite food," Karina happily said. She was excited to eat.
"Ok," 
The girl's ate in a comfortable silence, sometimes making small talk.
"What did Irene say?" Karina asked, still staring at the floor, not making eye contact with Winter
"Sorry?"
"In the note, you said you talked with Irene. What did she say after she heard that her strongest assasin got defeated by one bullet? " 
"She told me she is busy and that she sent some money for us to buy plane tickets and for your hospitalization. She sounded a bit breathy, if you ask me, I think she was fucking with Seungi again" 
Winter tried to say with a straight face but she also burst out laughing
"I agree. 100% they were fucking in Irene's office again," I started to laugh too
While we were laughing and joking about our boss, a sexy nurse came into the room.
"Good evening, miss Karina. When miss Kim brough you here, she told us that she doesnt know you full name. Can I please have you name,age and nationality, so we can locate you in our data base?" She questioned me
"Oh, it's...uh...Yoo..Jimin..23..Korean, Ji-dong, Suwon.." i said, feeling wierd to say these things after so much time.
After the nurse left. I look to my right, back at Winter.
"So..Jimin... you are one year older than me" Winter smirked
"Don't you dare call me by that name ever again. You don't get that privilege"
Winter whines "Come on, Jimin! You called me by my real name lots of times. It's only fair," 
She is just so cute. "Fine, but not in public,"
"Yep," Winter smiled
3rd person POV
The two girls kept laughand joking for some more time. After that, they booked plane tickets for tomorrow night to go back to Korea.
Winter went back to their hotel room and tried to rest, but the moment when Karina got shot kept replaying in her head, the amount of sadness and anger she felt. 
In the moring, Winter picked Karina from the hospital and took her to the hotel room to pack her things.
Winter POV
After I and Karina came back from the hospital, both of us started packing our bags.
While looking through the things I bought, I started blushing at the pair of lingerine Karina recomanded me to buy. 
It was a black lace lingerine set, the middle part that held the top and the bottom as like a corset but didnt cover the abdomen. The top part had a deep V cut and as straps it had thin black belts. The lower part had a very lacy part that covered the crotch and as straps the same thin black belts, but this time with gold accents here and then. 
While I was examinating it, I hear the bathroom door open and Karina comming into the room. In a rush I tuck it inside my suitcase so that she doesn't see it.
It would be very embarasing if she does. She would probably either make fun of me or flirt with me. And I dont like neither... maybe the flirting?..NEVER.
Karina noticed my nervous behavoir but didnt comment nothing on it 
"Did you finish to pack? I am kinda hungry, " 
I looked again in my wardrobe to see if I took all out of it 
"Yeah, what time is it?"
"2:20 pm. I saw a restaurant not too far, the day we went at the aquarium. " Karina suggested 
"Ok, let's go." 
We walked in silence, nobody spoke a word, I got lost in my toughts.
I guess we got a bit close during these days with Karina, but I still can't forgive her. She practically ruined my life, but at least I can raise Jisung. After I get the payment on this mission I will  find myself a normal job and get the hell away from 
killing people.
As I was lost in my imagination,I hear a loud honk, and a pair of hands wrapping around me as I fall down on the concrete, but it was soft?
