"Because of you, I know heaven without death."
- R.H. Sin

Narnia, 2557 / Aslan's country, ???

It had been so long.

Olivia missed Edmund so much. The lights of her world had lost colour after he was gone, all black and white, plain and simple and tasteless. Every night before bed, she imagined him holding her hand, time forever frozen as she rested her head on his shoulder, and they danced until infinity.

She hoped he would never be alone, not with the letter, not with the photographs. Olivia was only waiting, waiting for him to come home.

Now, only metres away, there he was. Gorgeous with his wet hair and shirt stuck to his abdomen, looking at Olivia with that beautiful gleam in his eyes that she dreamt about for so long. She still could feel his soft kisses against her skin, the lingering touches, the anticipation for more.

The distance, which was short, suddenly seemed so far. Edmund Edmund Edmund– he was right there, looking at Olivia as if she were the missing puzzle piece. So long since she had last seen him in front of her, so long since Olivia could last remember his sweet words.

Tugging on the hem of her skirt, Olivia propelled herself forward, not caring about anything else. He smiled, showing all his beautiful white teeth, and held out his arms for her.

Edmund missed holding her in his arms. He couldn't believe his own eyes: Olivia, his wife, his love, his life, right there, hugging him as if her soul depended on it. Her hair still smelled like everything he had been missing, her skin still gentle against his calloused fingers.

He missed those blue eyes, her laughter, her voice. With her, he felt complete. Edmund felt perfect when she was like this, still in his life. He loved Olivia so much that she had become a part of her life, a member of him. Without her, he forgot how to live, how to breathe.

Love was something so peculiar. It was intense, consuming, devouring. When Olivia was far, she was all he could think about. When Edmund was with her, all she could do was try to know what went on in his mind.

Kisses– god, it was everything missing. Electric currents moved between their bodies when their lips touched, backs arching, eyes closed but still seeing the other so clearly. A thousand reactions moved their minds, chemicals defying all laws of the brain when it came to the other.

Olivia missed the flush of her cheeks, the red decorating her face when she saw him, kissed him, and hugged him. How could she have lived two years in Narnia without him?

"I- I can't believe it." He murmured against her hair. "Oh god, am I dreaming again?"

She pinched his ribs, and he let her go. Olivia laughed as he frowned, rubbing his aching skin. He forgot about it and cupped her cheek with his right hand and grabbed her waist with his left, staring intensely into her blue eyes, looking for any hint of an indication that she was fake, that she wasn't real, that he was so deliriously in grief he began to imagine Olivia by his side.
