Six months, six months since Zela and Jackie had to go to funerals, court dates, and learning what they inherited from their family.
As the court finalized that they'd be sent from New York all the way to Colorado, all Zela could think about was the look on her uncle's face.
"Are you all packed?"
Jackie asked, as she came into Zela's room, which would soon be on the market for some other person to take.
"Yeah, you?"
