Ryumi stood by RJ's bed, gently shaking her shoulders in an attempt to rouse her.
"RJ, wake up. We have plans, remember?" she said with a playful tone, hoping to coax her friend into consciousness.
RJ mumbled something incoherent and turned over, seemingly undisturbed by Ryumi's attempts.
Unfazed, Ryumi persisted, shaking her more vigorously this time. "Come on, RJ. Daehyun is coming, and we're going for breakfast. Get up!"
RJ stirred, her eyes slowly opening as the mention of Daehyun registered in her still-sleepy mind.
"Daehyun? Why didn't you say so earlier?" she exclaimed, suddenly wide awake. RJ sat up in bed, her drowsiness replaced by a sense of urgency.
"See? That got you up," Ryumi chuckled, satisfied with the success of her strategy. "Now, get ready. We don't want to keep him waiting."
RJ hurriedly got out of bed, already planning her outfit for the day.
"Why didn't you wake me up earlier?" she asked, slightly annoyed.
Ryumi winked. "It's more fun this way. Keeps you on your toes. Now, let's go and grab some breakfast. Daehyun will be here soon!"
Ryumi, with a mischievous grin, continued her banter as they got ready. "You know, RJ, Daehyun is quite the catch. Handsome, charming, and a perfect gentleman. I wouldn't be surprised if you end up marrying him."
RJ rolled her eyes, playfully pushing Ryumi. "Stop teasing me. We just met, and you're already planning my wedding."
Ryumi laughed, "Oh, come on! I'm just stating the obvious. You two looked so comfortable together. He even helped you after that little incident at the lake. I'm telling you, fate works in mysterious ways."
RJ chuckled, "Fate, huh? Let's not get ahead of ourselves. We barely know each other."
Ryumi shrugged, "Well, a girl can dream, can't she? Just imagine, Daehyun could be your knight in shining armor, and you'll live happily ever after."
RJ playfully rolled her eyes again, "You watch too many romantic dramas, Ryumi. Let's just enjoy our breakfast and not get carried away with fairy tales."
Ryumi, holding up a dress, grinned, "You should wear this. Daehyun will be mesmerized."
RJ raised an eyebrow, "Are you trying to play matchmaker now?"
Ryumi chuckled, "Hey, a friend's gotta help another friend, right? And who knows, maybe he'll fall head over heels for you."
RJ shook her head with a smile, "You're incorrigible."
After picking out their outfits and sharing a few more jokes, they headed to the mirror to do their makeup.
Ryumi, holding up a lipstick, teased, "A little pop of color won't hurt. Daehyun might appreciate the effort."
RJ sighed in mock exasperation, "Okay, okay. I'll add a 'pop of color' just for you."
As they applied makeup and fixed their hair, Ryumi couldn't resist stirring the pot a bit more. "You know, RJ, if you need any advice on how to impress Daehyun, I'm here."
RJ laughed, "I think I'll manage just fine on my own, thank you."
RJ then glanced at the clock and mumbled, "Daehyun should've been here by now. I hope he didn't get lost."
As if on cue, the doorbell rang, making both RJ and Ryumi exchange curious glances.
Ryumi, with a mischievous grin, nudged RJ, "Well, speak of the devil. Looks like he's right on time."
