The Blazing Sun Hits My Body as I was laying down on the beach chair outside of the pool relaxing and enjoying my quiet evening by myself.
I was reading a book called,Then she was Gone By lisa jewell,I don't usually read stuff like this but Kenna got it for me as a gift a while ago and told me that it was worth reading. 
so today i decited to start the book and i coundnt put it down since then its so interestig and addictive.
i hearf the back door open and saw that it was brody making his way towards the pool he got onto the diving board and jumpted into the pool causing a huge splash some of the water got onto me,my book got wet so did my hair.
"sorry Halle i didnt see you''Brody laughed.
"yeah right you saw me you did that on purpose."i stated i was getting annoyed,i know it was not that big of a deal but last night after what he told me i kept my distance from him even if it was hard to since him and my daughter both lived with me now i have to get use to seeing brody.
"it was actully by accident Halle i really didnt see you sitting at the beach chair plus it was just water"Brody explained as he got out of the pool he didnt seem like he was joking around about anything he had a serious look on his face.
''its ok,accidents happen''I told him as I ran my fingers through my wet hair then grabbed my pink claw clip,
''look si know you don't like me But I hope that we could get along for Staceys sake''Brody said sadly,that btight smile on his face was now gone I know how much he cared for my approval,and wanted me to accept him,I didn't have anything against him so I don't know where all of this is coming from.
Brody sat down at the edge of the pool with his head down looking into the clear blue water,and was thinking about something,I then sat next to him and also looked at the water before speaking.
''Brody I don't hate you I think you're a nice guy my daughter seems happy with you.''i said with a small smile while I looked at him,the sad look on his face was now gone he looked happy about what I just told him,like if he needed to hear it,
''thanks Halle,I'm glad you think I'm good for Stacy I just wanted your approval."Brody said as he look at me,with a genuine smile on his face I was about to say something before the back door swing wide open,Kenna was standing there with two blue towels in her hand as she made her way towards us with some redhead guy following behind her,I reminded her earlier today to come over to swim it was only supposed to be me and her having a girls day at the pool but that plan was changed.
''i can't believe you started the pool party without me''Kenna shouted out as she got onto the beach chair,with the redhead guy who wrapped his arms around her waist.
"This isn't a Pool Party Kenna it's just a friends get together."I said with a small laugh.
''Halle who's this you didn't tell me you had a boyfriend''Kenna asked nicely,as she was looking at me then at Brody who seemed confused and annoyed about what she just said.
''im not Dating him,and I don't have boyfriend this is Brody and he's my Daughter Stacys Boyfriend''i said trying not to get annoyed at what Kenna asked,even though it's not a big deal.
But I've told her numerous times that I'm not interested in relationships and that I don't date.
Brody chuckled as he looked at me,it seems that Kennas comment was Amusing to him but not to me,I got up from the edge of the pool and saw that redhead guy starting to cook some ham I on the grill he smiled once he saw me.
"I'm Jason,it's nice to finally meet you Halle."He said kindly as he flipped a hamburger on the grill.
"It's nice to meet you to Jason how long have you and Kenna been dating."I asked.
"Two and a half weeks."Kenna stated as she walked towards Jason then wrapped her delicate arms around him,giving him a soft hug.
"Ohh really that's great you two make a great couple."I said smiling I was happy for my best friend that she was in a happy relationship.
Later that night I was in the kitchen making my favorite dessert of all time homemade Churros with some chocolate syrup on the side just like how my mother always made it.
I grabbed one churro from the plate and dipped it into the chocolate syrup then took a huge bite out of it savoring the delicious sweet flavor.
"It smells so good what did you make Hallle."Brody asked walking into the dining room he grab a churro and ate a small piece of it.
"I made homemade Churros with some chocolate syrup I use to eat this all the time growing up."I said happily while got another churro from the plate.
"They're Delicious!"Brody murmured as he finished his churro and the. Went to the fridge to get a bottle of water.
I was about to say something to Him before the front door opened and Stacy walked into the house she looked a little sad about something and stressed out.
"Are you alright sweetheart."I asked her softly as I looked at her and tried to give her a hug but she pushed me away and rolled her eyes at me.
"Leave me the fuck alone mom!"Stacy shouted in anger as she ran upstairs without saying anything word.
"Damn I don't know why she acts like that now and Days."Brody said annoyed while drinking his water.
"Look it's ok she probably had a-"I was about to finish my sentence before he cut me off,"Halle it's not ok you don't deserve to get treated like that Stacy shouldn't be acting like that towards you after everything you've done for her."Brody explained his voice was full of emotion he had a sad look in his eyes.
He was right I shouldn't be letting Stacy talk to me like that I just thought she had a bad day at work 
Even if she did had a stressful day why would she take her anger out on me like that I guess I gotten used to it since that's how her father would treat me when we were married.
"Halle are you alright."Brody asked as he tried to touch my shoulder but I took a step back and stared up at him.
"Yeah I'm fine, I'm just gonna go to bed good night Brody."I said softly and went upstairs as I heard him say good night back I don't know why but the sound of his  soft voice makes me feel a little better for some reason.
I got dressed in a plain black shirt and some red and white pajamas and got underneath my bedsheets and went to sleep peacefully.
