"I'm fineee" I dragged, "Y'all need to spend some time together, I'm tired anyways" I waved Johnathan and Jayla off.
"You sure pookie?" Jayla walked over to me, and I chuckled before hugging her and nodding. "I'm sure."
"Ight well the movie ain't that long, we'll bring you back some food." Johnathan explained while I nodded before walking over and kissing his cheek.
"Good because you know how my hungry ass gets" I teased, and they both laughed before they grabbed their things and left the house.
I locked the door before sitting on the couch and calling Ka'Mani. "Hey boo" she answered the facetime call. "Wassup, what you doing?"
"Nothing, just being pregnant" she showed her belly and I smiled. "Aww! Look at KK lil baby"I grinned. "Oh, so now you wanna be god mommy?" Ka'Mani chuckled while I waved her off.
"Girl you been knew that."
"Okay so what you doing? Why you look like you at home alone?"
"I am, Scar and his sister went to the movies" I explained while Ka'Mani nodded. "So, I was thinking, what if I came to Maryland to visit?"
"That would be cool" I gave her a reassuring smile. "Okay! I want you to help me go baby shopping."
"Of course," I nodded.
I didn't want to tell Ka'Mani I was pregnant yet because I had somebody else in mind that I wanted to tell before everybody else.
There was a knock on the door and I sucked my teeth. "Mani ima call you back."
"Okay" she nodded before I stood up. I walked over to the door and opened it before seeing Kentrell holding a bouquet of roses.
"I- um- how did you find me?"
"I can find anyone" Kentrell chuckled. "Especially you" he kissed my forehead before walking in. "Kentrell-"
"So, when you moving back home?"
"Home? Kentrell I am home" I closed the front door and folded my arms. "Kentrell Kai and I are doing just fine here-"
"Kai is my son!" Kentrell yelled and I shook my head. "Yeah, and he's mines too. He came out of my pussy if I remember correctly."
"Yeah, and who put him there? You a dumbass bitch."
"Dumbass bitch?! Kentrell who are you talking to? Look this is MY life and I deserve to be happy" I tried explaining to Kentrell and he chuckled.
"You right, you do deserve to be happy, with ME!"
"You don't make me happy anymore!" I yelled while Kentrell scrunched his face. "I don't want this anymore Kentrell...I'm tired. I want to be happy...I wanna be with somebody who loves me" I pleaded.
"I love you" Kentrell assured while trying to walk up to me, but I backed up. "No- No you don't Kentrell. You love the thought of me. I'm not that little high school girl anymore. I'm a woman, a grown ass woman who can make her own decisions."
"Your decisions are dumb" Kentrell shook his head and I sighed. "Look at the way you talk to me Kentrell...this isn't right. You should leave."
I pointed at the door but instead of leaving, Kentrell walked up to me and grabbed my wrist. "You not leaving me" he said through gritted teeth. "Kentrell let go of me" I tried to get out of his grip before I heard Malakai start crying from upstairs.
Kentrell grabbed my neck and started slightly choking me. "We forever, do you understand me?!"
"K-Kentrell I can't b-breathe-"
"Do.you.understand?!"
"Kentrell st-stop-pleas-please. I-I'm pregnant!" I cried before Kentrell looked at me with wide eyes. He let go of me and I started coughing. "It's his?" He questioned and I nodded with tears in my eyes while Malakai cries continued from upstairs.
"Bet" Kentrell nodded before leaving the house and I called Johnathan.

One week later
"I wanted you to know before it came out on social media and everything...It was the least I could do since I couldn't be there for you when.... the situation happened" I explained while looking down at Margo's tombstone and I sighed.
"You know, I was so lucky to have you in my life when I had Kamari....I feel so lost here without you...but I know you would want me to be strong and take care of my babies.... I'm pregnant auntie" I smiled while touching my stomach.
"I really like him auntie.... I think I might even love him" I mumbled. "I haven't talked to Kentrell ever since he put his hands on me...I know he didn't mean it but.... I don't know auntie. I just can't have him around me or my babies right now."
I heard a car horn and turned around seeing Ka'Mani's car. "Yeah, that's Mani" I smiled weakly. "You were right, she loves me, and I love her too.... she's making me the god mother of her child and I really appreciate it...we might not be as close as we were but...I care about her."
I looked around before letting out a breath and sending a reassuring smile to Margo's grave. "Look, just because I live in Maryland now, doesn't mean I won't visit you all the time and talk your pretty little head off" I chuckled.
"You know I love you" I grinned before sitting the flowers down that I bought. "I'll see you soon" I said before walking away.
I got into Ka'Mani's car, and she smiled before I turned around seeing Kai in the back seat. "You hungry?"
"Yes mommy" he smiled, and I nodded. "Okay me too, me and baby need to eat" Ka'Mani rubbed her belly before pulling off and I smiled.
We pulled up at a burger spot and sat outside on the restaurant patio.
"I've been meaning to tell you something" I explained and Ka'Mani nodded while eating some of her fries.
"I'm pregnant" I mumbled. "WHAT?!"
"Shhh" I hushed Ka'Mani, "You know TMZ be everywhere, I don't want the media knowing yet" I whispered.
"I'm so happy for you" Ka'Mani smiled, and I grinned. "Thank you"
"So... we going baby shopping again?!" She smiled and I laughed. "Of course," I nodded, "But if anyone ask, the stuff is all for you."
"Of course," Ka'Mani nodded before we both laughed. "Have you talked to Corey?"
"Actually...yes" Ka'Mani nodded. "As you know, I'm moving to Texas, but Corey wants to go to a doctor's appointment with me, so once I get settled in, he can come" Ka'Mani explained.
"Mani, I think this move is too soon" I explained. "I think you should stay in Maryland until you have the baby. You shouldn't be alone. You're close to having the baby anyways, how many months are you?"
"Four" Ka'Mani said before taking a bite of her burger and I nodded while feeding Kamari a fry. "How about you and-"
"Don't say his name.... or Kai will cry" I sighed, "Just know...I don't plan on seeing him anytime soon."
