Chapter XVIII: The Warning

                                    

                                          
A/N: OK now starting from here, it's going to get painful for me to write as I'll have to cut some of Rise's lines due to her crush on Yu but this not being a YuRise fic and the ones I do keep will not end up leading to anything (mostly at the start where they are not so noticeable). This is more of a problem later on the story, not as much in this arc. So, if there are any lines from the game that Rise isn't saying during the run of the fic, know I cut them so that I don't have to worry about writing a catfight between Marie and Rise. I am thankful to my cowriter KingKobra310 who helped me out with handling this part.
So why didn't I make this a YuRise fic if it was gonna hurt me more? Well, there are reasons. I thought if I choose Rise to be the romance for the book, chances are in the first run Yu would have already romanced her because it's impossible for him not to notice (as I've had M. Izzy be a dick and poke fun at it), and he'd likely do it again the next time. I don't think I can get creative with it cause Yu already knows rise would accept his feelings, best I could have him do is just flirt back. Maybe I can do something where he changed something so Rise isn't as much of a flirt with him as she normally is, so he worries, but then that's just a different character. I choose Marie to the the romance of this book due to something that will happen later on in the story by winter. If you know you know.
That's what I thought at first, and while I did later on come up with a way that could maybe make YuRise work, I was already too far down making the romance be Marie. I won't have Yu change his choice last minute or a plot where Yu has to choose between the two or a harem route (I hate harems in fiction and I basically made all of the protags in my stories hate them too, if you like them that's fine, I just personally don't). Absolutely no hate to YuRise or MarYu, I love both ships. I considered making an alternate book with that idea for YuRise in mind but I'll just see how well this story does and if you all like it enough and I have the time, I might, but it won't be any time soon, definitely not this year as the only projects I have planned is the 3 Persona stories with maybe a few one shots and "The City Web" if I get ideas for it.

If you're looking for a long story that's YuRise, I suggest ShwahGamer's "Chase The Truth" which has YuRise as the focus ship. I cannot stress enough how good it is, you'll have to read the story yourself. It's a great adaptation of the game while fixing some of the minor issues I had with the game. (Also it was number 1 on #RiseKujikawa for a long time so that means it's good.)

Female student: *sigh* I'm tired of coming to school. I can't believe they let that Tatsumi in here. I hear he started his own gang and goes around bullying people. How did I get to be in the same class as him...? 
Yu: I have an idea, shut the fuck up.

Kanji: Yo 
Chie: Hey, there he is. You've been coming to school pretty often lately. What's up?
Kanji: It's this annoying thing called the mandatory attendance policy.
Yosuke: But man, seeing you here kinda reminds me of the school campout... 
Kanji: Why?
Yosuke: It just does I guess, how all of us hanged out in the tent. Just don't sleep talk next to me again please.
