Her breath heavy, her terrified, dilated pupils looking for a chance to escape the darkness she had been trapped in. A singular window in the entire vicinity, the midnight moons gravely light shone into the room. Her eyes darted down at the cold metal gun in her hand, deep cuts engraved into her arm as blood tainted her milky white skin.
Defeated, she slumped onto the floor, her blood continuing to rush through her veins as her heavy head leaned against the wall. She stared at her left, the dead body's outline glowing the dim moonlight.
She had began to wonder why she took on this mission, as an agent it was her job, right? A job that left her in shambles, in vain, most of all, loosing the one she had once cared for, the one that was once there for her, the one that she loved with all her might. But, now, that was the distant past, one she wouldn't be able to reach as hard as she tried. One she had lost due to her own tomfoolery.
A sudden thought emerged in her fried brain, her limp hand bared a watch on it, one she would be able to contact her seniors with. A soft smile appeared on the tired ladies face, her trembling finger reached to the button located at the rear end of the watch. With a countdown, she pressed it, her ears carefully listening to the distinct ringtone.
With the ring, the call was answered, a sense of triumphant joy washed over the worn out latter. Her voice shaky, she managed to utter something, "Dae-hyun?" She hoped it was her senior, actually, he was more of an older brother than a senior or a friend.
"Yes, Yong-sun?" His soft and calm yet panicked voice answered, a rush of sudden adrenalin pumped through her as she heard his voice.
"I'm still stuck at the building. Prime minister, Kyung-son's security is right outside the door, if i leave, I'll definitely be charged for his murder. Help me, please." She squeaked in a whisper. Her lazy eyes drowned by fatigue rushed to the door and back to the lifeless body on the ground. Her head felt heavier then before, as if it were filled with concrete, her eyelids closed shut. She couldn't hear what he had to say, to her it was just incoherent babbles.
She woke up in a cold sweat, her vision was blurry but she could make the outline of a tall man and an equally tall woman. Loud, obnoxious ringing rang through her ears, her hands hurried up to the side of her head.
"S-she is awake!" She heard a deep voice say, a soft smile emerged on her confused face as she recognised the mans voice.
"She really is." She heard the woman mummer, her voice icy and cold yet with a warmness. Her eyelids fluttered like the wings of a butterfly as the fog that covered her sight was reduced into mere atoms.
She was in a white room, but it wasn't a hospital room, it didn't have the equipment to be one. Her perplexed pupils travelled between Dae-hyun and the mysterious woman, she wore a beige shirt and loose grey trousers with her long dark brown hair up in a loose bun.
"Who is she?" She pointed at the lass as she looked up at Dae-hyun. Instead of answering, he wrapped her in a hug, leaving her even more confused.
"You've been knocked out for the past twelve hours, do you feel okay?" He worriedly whispered into her ear as he backed away from the hug. It hurt her to see that he was that worried about her.
He looked back at woman before clearing his throat, "This is Bae Joo-hyun, the both of you are assigned to look after eachother. For the next month, the both of you will live in the same house, your stuff has already been moved there."
"I'd like to add something, with us there will be living another person, that person happens to be my girlfriend." She slightly nodded her head as she smiled down at her. "If you are feeling better, we could head there."
The three of them arrived at an upper-middle class neighbourhood as the sun began to set over the horizon. She took a deep breath as she followed the latter into the house.
As she entered, a girl sitting on the couch jumped up, took sprint and gave Joo-hyun a quick hug and kiss. "This is my girlfriend, Seul-gi." She softly mumbled as she turned red. She found it sweet that the lass melted at the touch of her girlfriend.
"Oh, Yong-sun, right?" She said as if she recognised her. She looked at her in pure and undefined confusion. "Yes?"
"Whee-in's older sister?" She questioned as she looked at her with her soft dark brown eyes. "Yes, do you know her?"
She nodded her head as she smiled, "I'm her friend from university. The background of her phone is a picture of you, her and her girlfriend."
"She has a girlfriend?" She was shocked at the information presented to her. Not once did her younger sister mention having a girlfriend. The both of them were as close as siblings could be, they got into the occasional fight but never did they ever hide something like this from eachother but she decided not to question her sister later on as she may have her reasons not to tell her.
"Yeah, she didn't tell you? Yikes!"
"Love~ Help Yong-sun settle down, I'll go make dinner."
The next morning she woke with a headache, she wearily walked towards the door, opened it and bumped into someone.
"Oh sorry~!" She heard a voice say, she found the voice familiar but couldn't put her finger on it. She looked up at the latter, her mouth opened in shock.
"Byul?" She asked, flabbergasted. It had been two years since the last time she had seen her. She broke up with her through text and disappeared in a second. The latter rushed away from hee upon seeing who it was, leaving her even more perplexed.
