Prologue

                                    

                                          

Rei looked everywhere for places to study when she noticed a café that wasn't far away from where she was staying.
She was new to the school since she had just moved to Korea but she still had assignments she had to get done and tests she had to revise for.
She knew it would be a very busy week, so the best thing to do would go and study somewhere. 
When she stepped in, she saw that all of the tables were full.
She saw 2 girls who looked her age, they looked like they were studying too.
"Excuse me," Rei began. "Is it okay if I sit down here? I have some urgent exams that I need to study for if you don't mind." 
"Sure, sure!" One of them insisted, nodding while letting her know that she should sit down. "Of course, we are studying as well."
"Yeah, we are." The shorter one replied and grinned. "Hey, what's your name? What school do you go to?" She bombarded her with questions, making Rei quite overwhelmed after she just wanted to sit down and relax.
"Uh, Rei. Naoi Rei. I'm from Japan and just moved here recently." She panicked.
"Hm... School?"
"I—" Rei tried to respond, but the other girl stopped her.
"Listen, Rei. Don't mind my sister asking so many personal questions. We would love to be friends, though,"
The other girl attempted to shake hands with Rei. "I'm Angel and my sister is Eunji, nice to meet you!"
"That's a nice name, Angel." Rei smiled radiantly. "And, Eunji, of course!"
"So, Rei..." Eunji giggled. "We don't mean to bother you while you're studying but I have a question."
"Ask away." Rei tried to seem nice, which she was trying to do anyway, but failed miserably because of how nervous she was.
"Well, do you know Kim Liz?" Eunji asked.
"Who?"
"Kim Jiwon? The singer? Korean singer?" 
"I don't, are you two fans or something?" Rei laughed awkwardly, not knowing what was going on or who Kim Liz was.
"Yeah! We are like, her biggest fan!" Angel jumped up. "Oh, sorry, we are just excited."
"Let me tell you something," Eunji whispered to Rei. "I think you should start listening to her, she's so talented and is staying around here which means she is doing a concert! You wouldn't want to waste the opportunity, right?"
"Um..."
"Right?" 
"Oh, yeah, obviously not..." Rei rolled her eyes when they weren't looking. "Fine, it's getting late now and once I finish studying I'll search her up for you two." 
"Thanks, Rei," Eunji handed her a sticky note and then smiled, "Our numbers."
"I appreciate it." Rei lied, but she was happy to have made two very chaotic friends.
"Aw, Rei. It's getting late now. Talk tomorrow?" Eunji nudged Angel when she tried to walk away without saying goodbye to Rei.
"Yeah, sounds like a good idea." 
"Great! See you tomorrow." Angel finally left and waved.
"Bye.."
